Pretty average all round. We aren’t even close to February. We continue to have a string of 40 degree days in January the potential for worse is still to come.
True - but you have to worry about pre-emptive work or lack of it clearing ground cover.

Most of the paddocks up here are now bare. The sides of roads are pretty high which is a concern. I don’t know about the State Forests/Goulburn River banks. It’s a huge undertaking to burn off when reliant on Volunteers and inaccessiblity

Something remarkable about Climate Change is the spectacular Succulent plants the past year up here...some extraordinary flowers coming off my Cacti that we haven’t seen; trivial but an unfortunate observation

Now take random events like this, and much, much more (cloud formations, water currents, etc.), then apply them to the entire planet, and then make a reliable climate computer prediction model.
This is a reasonable point however like all dynamic systems the agw related changes can be modelled to a point.

All models are flawed by definition.

That's why they always talk about climate modelling as percentages of likelihood. Not as absolutes.

Anyway who uncritically listened to the anti global warming media you've been parroting lately might not realise this.

Those cloud formations - pyrocumulonimbus - were almost unheard of at the turn of the century. Now they are commonplace.

Another volunteer firefighter dies

RIP.

I hope the others are okay

Blown over then burnt?

That's ****ed up. What sort of conditions are happening down there? Even the smallest vehicles are at least 1000kg. Strikers are Land Cruisers or Land Rovers (category 9 vehicles) with pumps equipment and up to 500 lt of water on board. The smallest trucks (cat 7 vehicles) weigh six to eight tons with up to 1600lt of water on board. (Tho ours has 1900. She's a beauty.)

Even of both those vehicles were strikers they have been blown over by the wind. Wtf sort of wind is that.

Poor campaigners. That would have been ****en horrible.

"Instead of facts, we have feelings"

Very few facts exist. Even less as facts in the biased way you see them. Boundless plains of feelings, all biased, exist and are swamping the facts. Mr Trump would not hold his office if facts overcame feelings. Feelings are the new truth.
