How ethically far removed is it from Russians spamming the internet?
A bit different and not as bad, but expect copycat versions when Biden is finally wheeled out in crowds larger than a few dozen.

Surely they won't do something as stupid as that?

They can win this thing right now.

Biden has to come out of hiding soon.

Any attempt at a counter strike would be privately driven.

I get that AOC is nothing more than a pure marketing vessel for the U.S. hipster element, but it's very politically naive for her to come out publicly endorsing and trolling spamming. ESPECIALLY after the monumental hysteria that was manufactured over the Russiagate cluster****.

Then again, it's not as if the are lobbying at anything approaching intellectuals. It could work. This really could just be a race to the gutter.

Gerrymandering?

Politically motivated and used by both parties in recent times. In the African American context, it’s been primarily the democrats trying to take advantage of the 90% vote from Black Americans. The Republicans, generally, fiddle with the city versus rural vote.

The reduction in polling booths in the south affects all citizens, regardless of their background. Even rural areas with large white populations have been affected. Past racist polling practices do not apply in this case.
That statement doesn't cut it. If you are going to convince me that this isn't just one more in a long line of ongoing (not past) voter suppression efforts (not germandering but denying enrolled voters a vote) in the US targeting or at least disproportionately affecting minorities you'll need to show the reduction in polling booths doesn't disproportionately affect minority voters.

To do that you'd need to get the cuts and compare them to the previous situation, compare all the numbers and see where (if anywhere) the proportion of booths to voters changes and maybe compare that to a decade and two decades ago. Cos otherwise I just don't believe it.

She’s quite good with policy knowledge as JDG has said in the past, but she is prone to some absolute gaffs, re financing the green new deal, Amazon jobs, department jurisdictions and the Holocaust comparison.

I tend to agree, but most voters won’t remember what she said in 5 months time. Her seat is safe as it is in Democrat heartland. Don’t forget, Pelosi and Biden can’t stand her and publicly feuded a while back.

In a country where racial slavery was in place until the mid 19th century, legal segregation persisted until 2 generations ago, unofficial segregation persists and the the current President won based on a naked appeal to racism, it's not a stretch to point out the irregularities in the voting system disproportionately impact black people.

Nah AOC has fallen in line behind Pelosi, you should hear what actual progressives have to say about how she never endorsed progressive candidates.

Yeah, she's basically a gimmick, but when you consider her audience, do they really need anything better?

So what you’re suggesting is an under representation of African Americans vote is the cause of the the problems in the USA.
It’s almost like the last president and his attorney general didn’t exist..
Ongoing repression of minority's voters in the US has nothing to do with Obama. He was president during the greatest transfer of wealth away from black Americans in history as well.

SDS is just suggesting the cutbacks in voting booths disproportionately affect African Americans and given the way things are done over there they are probably right about that.

It says a lot about AOC that actual credible leftist journalists like Jimmy Dore and Blumenthal are very critical AOC. She’s just another politician.

She's the hipster version of Trump. A gimmick.

Anyone see Joey Diaz’s response on Twitter to people trying to cancel him? f*n lol. Uncle Joey can’t be cancelled. He’s been to jail for kidnapping a dealer this is nothing.
Joey Diaz .. Every time I hear about him I think of the Lou Reed song New York and often end up listening to it and forgetting whatever it was I was hearing about him.

Actual progressives, how would you define one of those?

You are right, my bad, they have largely rejoined. The tension is not as prevalent as it once was. Politician stances ebb and flow.

Why do I need to convince you of anything?

Why do I always to have provide detailed evidence and waste my time pissing in the wind when it gets flippantly ignored time and time again?

So many in this thread leaped to my defence when Sopworths called me a racist piece of garbage based on nothing, o wait, most of you didn’t.

It is, therefore, clear that I won’t change your mind no matter what I post in relation to racism, so why should I bother placating people who don’t even remotely respect me.

So let’s just move on shall we.

So I missed yesterday’s game . Last week after beating giants we were ‘contenders’ and a chance to win the flag . Rhyce Shaw was the second coming of Jesus and a masterful tactician. What are we thinking now ? The point I’m trying to make is that this forum swings in complete chaos from week to week . It’s surprising because so many of you are so well educated in the game yet become completely unhinged and contradicting week to week depending on results . I’d like thoughts on where people see us finishing ? I’m predicting 9-12 . Optimistically sneak into the 8 but just cannot be dropping games like yesterday 🤬🤦‍♂️
We've won two of three games. Extrapolate this thru the season and were top six, at least.

We're not gonna win every game, we had it over Melbourne for nearly 20 years and it looks like the Swans have something similar over us under Horse. At least we put them out of finals less than five yeare ago. Don't forget it's also the coaches first game against his old coach and mentor, so Longmire wants to win even more than normal.

The season seems really chaotic. No one is properly prepared and so form may swing week to week as teams build fitness and coherence.

So it's a waiting game, but we're on track to play finals even tho it's too early to read much into that. But at this stage we are two wins from three games.

Early days sure, but the coaches record is nine wins from fifteen games.

Which is also very close to a two wins from three games average. If we had won yesterday his record would be two from three exactly.

So Rhyce is pretty much where he was.

Hes coached for less than a year. If he can learn from yesterday's game then it's a good thing.
