Re: Ross Lyon - Your tactics are worse than pathetic.

ALways collingwood the filth, always the filth.

We win we're filth we lose we're filth.

You almost won last night some of your players made shit errors Goodard and milne with goal kicking. That really isnt the coaches fault

Re: Ross Lyon - Your tactics are worse than pathetic.

Don't worry Optimax, Nexus isn't really a st kilda fan, and does not in any way represent the feelings of 99% of the people here. Ignore the post.

Re: Where are the Saints Heading this Season / Saints v Brisbane

Kildonan, I applaude your analysis, I really do, but footy is not logical. St kilda have no chance of making the top 8. Currently we are 9th, by the end of the season I can see Richmond and Carlton both overtaking us. Predicted finish 11th...unfortunately.

The sacking of Grant Thomas changed the course of our club. As I've said before, it is the intangibles that makes a great side. When GT was sacked that ended our chances of winning the premiership.

St kilda will never play finals under Ross Lyon.

Re: Where are the Saints Heading this Season / Saints v Brisbane

Agreed NeXus_Helen.

I have it on good authority that Ross Lyon had planned the injuries of Ball, Gherig, Attard, Baker, X, Gilbert, Maguire, Riewoldt, etc, etc - just so you would gain bragging rights so you could come back here (even after you said you wouldn't be back) and tell us all to pry the rose coloured glasses from our one eyed faces & we suck & you're the best & chuck out the rest!

:thumbsu: yay you!

St kilda had heaps more injuries....heaps more under Grant Thomas!!!!!!

Re: Where are the Saints Heading this Season / Saints v Brisbane

NH, Grant is gone. That has happened. It is in the past. We, as the supporters, and the club, can analyse it until the cows come home, but nothing is going to change the fact that Grant Thomas is not St Kilda coach, and he never will be again. The board who made this decision have paid for their mistake, and rightly so. I was happy to send my proxy in.

We need to move on. Ross Lyon, I am sure, is putting in a lot of hard work. While I am not happy with the way we are playing at the moment, I know we have the talent to turn it around. Ball, Riewoldt, Dal Santo, Montagna, S Fisher, Goddard, Gram, X Clarke, Gilbert, Armitage, McEvoy, Schneider, Koschitzke, Dempster, Howard, Steven, Connors, Gwilt, Jones & Attard all not yet at the middle point of their careers. Hayes, Milne & Baker with a few years left.

I am not really bullish about the club at the moment, but I still believe we can win any match in which we play. We were certainly capable of beating Geelong in Round 4, and beat Hawthorn the last time we played them. The players just need to believe, and make that supreme effort that is required.

This week the players should approach the game in a similar way to how they approached the West Coast game last year. Brisbane's backline is suspect, and their forward line one-dimensional. Johnstone can be tagged out of the game, Lappin (who always destroys us) is not playing, leaving Power & Black, along with Rischitelli. It is achievable, and with Melbourne, the Doggies, Sydney without Hall and Fremantle coming up, we can set our season up with a backs-to-the-wall victory on Sunday.

I know your still clinging to the hope we can turn it around, but the fact is when Gt was sacked so to were our chances of winning the flag. The intangibles that GT had with the team can never be manufactured. They have to come naturally.

We have to start a full on re-build right now. If you want all those players you mentioned above to play in a premiership we need to rebuild in the same way GT did. If that happens we will be challenging again in 5 years time. That will give Riewoldt and Kosi one more shot at a flag.

Lenny Hayes who is 28 I think plus all the other over 28's will not play in a flag at St.kilda.

Re: Where are the Saints Heading this Season / Saints v Brisbane

It's not a "fact" you idiot it's your opinion. You're certainly entitled to it, even if I think it's a crock (and I do) but will you ever stop bleating about GT? Face up to it; he's gone, and he's not ever coming back as coach.

Once you accept that feel free to offer something else to enlighten the rest of us ...

One day in the not too distant future, GT will be our coach again. And when that day comes it will be a great day for the St kilda football club and a great day for the true believers.

Go ahead and call me all the names you like, it doesn't bother me.

Ahh this noob was posting crap on the Dogs site as well. Silly troll boy.

This thread is a great idea. However, it was very predictable that Nexus would come in here and indave the thread with Grant Thomas nonsense.

Ok...how about those rubbish articles Mark Robinson has been writing in the HS. How players are told not to read footy fan sites such as Big Footy and Saint Sensational (plus countless others).

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=446115

I think it's a crap article. Players would cop more abuse over the fence surley.

As a moderator, I would hate to think that my reluctance to restrict posters' freedom of expression (by deleting or editing all posts I didn't approve of) meant that one of our players took serious offence at stuff on our board.

The Saints board is an amalgum of hundreds (?thousands) of opinions, most of which are fairly level headed. I don't delete much, mostly posts deliberately intended to insult or inflame. They are dealt with accordingly.
Sometimes emotions run high, I let a lot of things go that later wouldn't be encouraged. It's good for the board to get some heat into discussion at times.

Some posters come here with an agenda. Nexus Helen is one example. We try to be tolerant, but Sainter and I have to act on behalf of the better interests of the majority of posters (and players, and coaches etc.).

I hate to think that we are imposing on the privacy of players by discussing them on a forum like this, but I suppose if I were one - I may feel differently than I do as a poster / moderator.

I would be concerned and forced to action if a poster was to make private details known (like addresses / telephone numbers / e-mail addresses etc.) of any person who hasn't given explicit permission, especially a footballer or official from our club.

I like to think that players like Kosi will read my posts and kick a bag of goals on Sunday, just to prove I am a d---h--d.:D

.

That article referred to some pretty nasty racial abuse on the Tigers Board at Jordan McMahon.

AHA! Now it all becomes clear. Dominique IS Raph Clarke. Raph Clarke IS Dominique (haven't you ever wondered why they NEVER seem to be in the same room... ahhh!!)!!!!;)

busted...

but who was that old (well, a year older than Robert Harvey, I guess that's old), slightly overweight (those pies and beers won't help) and noisy (offered to guide a few Collingwood supporters to the exit - I should say that he is 197cm and 110kg... - also suggested to a few St Kilda "supporters" to support their team rather than constantly insulting Raph (me ?), Fiora (who did not even play), Blake, L Fisher and Milne - some of them started before the first bounce) bloke sitting at an angle behind the goals of the third level of TD ?
