Warner.... Why?
Because he's been in a run of shit form and wanted to bash his way into some, to make himself comfortable by 'dominating' the bowlers.

If he was in form it probably would have cleared the stands...

Problem is though, he started poorly, then worked his way into the game nicely & was looking alright... Just a flat-out ****ing waste of a wicket.

Ali would have been licking his lips after those first 2 shots of that over. Sucked him right in.

Needs to punch Joe Root again. It turned his form around perfectly last time ;)

Ok, I know we're all on the Ashes ATM, but I've just got back, so impromptu late night Ant Man review.

Significantly stronger narrative than Age of Ultron. Paul Rudd completely pulls off the role. Evangalline Lilly and Michael Douglas are fabulous in their roles. Movie understands its scale within the universe and plays to it accordingly. Suffers somewhat by sacrificing villain development, and the ability to sympathise with him in exchange for Lang's goofy gang of lovable criminals. Point of difference is that it's a movie about family, strained relationships, and living up to being the person you want to be for your family. The 2 post credit scenes are the cherry on top of an excellent addition to the MCU, and a great film on its own as well. 8.5/10

Doesn't quite hit the highs of Winter Soldier or Guardians of the Galaxy, but easily surpasses Iron man 3 and The Dark World. In a coin flip decision, I also like it more than age of Ultron. Tight, cohesive cast with a lot of chemistry, good writing. Comedy is overt, but not at all out of place. Think that's more or less all I can say without bringing in spoilers. Watch it.

Smith's 50 is up from 111 balls

Good patient cricket by the Aussies. England have set a very much one sided field and are bowling to it. Aussies have to put up with tedious wide bowling with little opportunity to score and high risk of losing wickets if they play at them

Now Rogers' ton is up from 209 balls

Australia is 1/254 halfway through the third session of the first day of the second Ashes test match at Lords

Just finished watching a movie and flick on the cricket to see Smith and Rogers both on 103. Damnit movie went 5 minutes too long :(

Doing pretty damn well by the looks of it though!

I love watching Australia bat, but the English tactic is defensive and has been all day. They are trying to limit the damage of losing the toss.
If the toss is that significant, then the curators need to look at their pitches and work out how to make them better so they hold up for three or four days

Apologies if already posted, but has anyone else noticed the hypocrisy from Beveridge today in regards to Suns getting Clayton after he bailed on us at the start of the year...?

Beveridge please

Yes just thought the same thing when I read his indignation.

That's right Luke, you shouldn't jump ship when you've been appointed by a different club should you?

If the guy the Suns poached for a job upgrade then Bev us an idiot because you can't stop someone moving up, but if it's a sideways move to the Suns he has a reason to arc up

Rubbish.

No doubt Clayton getting more money/better job/better opportunity at the Suns - why else do you leave?

Clayton seeing out his contract at the dogs then moving to GC.
Suns did nothing more than release a simple press release.

The dogs "celebrated" when they got Bev, didn't see the Saints kicking up a fuss.

Coaches move jobs in the AFL, it happens, all the time. Beveridge lacking class to have a go at the Suns in this case.

Jesus Rogers got hit in the head ( same spot as PH ) . Luckily hes fine

Superb innings....hoping Smith can get his 200 and Clarke to cash in......really want to be in a position to declare at 2 down worst case 3....

want to make a statement....
