we got a travelling party of 23 but i know some will most likly not want to come to the group dinner and would want to do their own thing

I guess it depends on price as well and if they are kind of pub meal types or fine dining. Melbourne has a mass of restaurants and around both bank is easy for access to the city and will cater for larger groups in most cases but are fairly average generally. If you like cheap and cheerful there is also a heap of options. With a group of more than 8 you will definitely need to book most places. A lot of the happening little lane way bars and cafes are probably out for a group that size.

I don't mind it, it's made my over powered lap top seem a wise investment, thing is so quick even their OTT interface can't slow it down.
