I've come to the conclusion that the UPark at Central Market was designed by Asians for Asians - that carpark is an absolute shocker!

Is that the upstairs one? A shocker it may be, but it's got a million parks and is cheap as can be. I've probably parked there 100 times

Yep that's the one. Looks like it's about 2-3 different carparks mashed into one. After going through the fun task of working out what level you're on upon entry, then there's the fun task of getting out.

Night rates at Central Market are similar to Topham, Rundle, and Grote.

Liked that news story on Fox Sports News

token Port Adelaide comment about their new sponsor
But Adelaide defender Scott Stevens says blah blah blah blah
[insert news story]

They know they will get more veiwers talking about Adelaide even if it is random crap, but they have to acknowledge news when they have to.

Now I have another good reason to actually go into the Westpac bank (or find a Westpac automatic teller) to withdraw my money.

Bank fees from those machines suck but the news from yesterday gave me extra incentive to find the real bank.

my ATM only have a grand total of 3,000 machines and that's in Australia and New Zealand

I think the odds are on your side that it wont be theirs

The odds will be quite high; ‘My ATM’ will be looking at ways to increasing their distribution of machines in Adelaide very soon. Sponsorships are not a charitable donation; they use this for a strategic purpose to increase their brand recognition and product availability in that city.

Either way, I will be finding my bank and avoiding any unnecessary bank fees.

Yes they are, Sponsorship is just another word for advertisement

they pay someone to put their logo somewhere to advertise them

and advertisement doesnt work on me
I only consider buying Holden's, even though Toyota's are shoved down my throat from the AFL and AFC.
I dont eat Hungry jacks even though the AFL throws that down our throats and so do West Coast when you watch their games at Subi (same with those bloody SGIO things the cheersquad hold up and wave)
I dont get life insurance from seeing their advertisement on foxtel
same with AAMI car insurance.
I dont go to Woolworths or Coles who i see ads for, and instead I go to Foodland.
I use NAB (yeah, they do have ads on TV, but they are no where near as bad as Commenwealth Bank ads)
I've never been to NZ with all the ads for there

Yeah because the universe revolves around you.

My ATM would not give Port Adelaide (or anyone for that matter) any money if they did not intend to increase their distribution of their produce in Adelaide.

I'm so confused. Port Power fans try to shove down our throat that THEY were the team established in 1870, yet tonight on the news Port Magpie fans were saying THEY'VE been around for over 100 years and THEY'VE won 30 premierships. So which is it?? Which team was established in 1870?? We get told they're totally different clubs, but both try to claim the one history???

Why do they want to merge with the Power anyway?? They've got no money either....Just go merge with another SANFL club. "Central Port Districts" oh geez, IMAGINE THE FERAL-NESS :p

One arguement says PAFC which moved from the SANFL to the AFL
One arguement says PAFC which got renamed PAMFC, opening up PAFC so the supporters had no idea what happened.

They both claim the same history because it was a clause* in some thing saying 1870-1996 are in both histories

I veiw* as them as

The true Port Adelaide 1870-1996
Port Adelaide Magpies 1997-2010
Port Adelaide Power 1997-onwards

My brain makes up good ideas, but my ability to put those thoughts into words really lets me down (check my last 3 Bay 13 threads, all failures. Good ideas, but execution ****ed up)

Nah they weren't good ideas in the first place, that is why you failed.

Epic fail. :(
Another soon to be epic fail thread on the Bay now.:) Also, the $17 spent to get into the cricket today really was not worth it at all, especially after Gayle was out first ball of the day.:( Hot, sweaty and home by 8:30, what an awesome day......

It is beyond me why Cricket Australia persists with one day internationals.

65,000 people to the 20/20 match against Pakistan and 2 nights latter, 25,000 turn up and i don’t think the West Indies are the problem.

If Australia played the West Indies in a 20/20 today, packed house – how many were there today – 8000 people.

It’s time to pull up stumps on ODI and just play test matches and 20/20

Edit: 8378 people turned up.

I remember when the 3 logo was first put on the Essendon jumper around 2000-01ish (cant remember the year). Most people had no idea who they were.MyATM are a unique company (business opportunity) and are trying to get their name out there. Like 3 back then

I actually think the way Port have handled the announcement of the sponsorship is appalling. Doing it the same day as the SANFL vote on the merger. Every Port story on AdelaideNow (sadly the main web based media outlet in SA) was about the merger. Tomorrow's 'Tiser will be full of the merger story. If MyATM are lucky it will be a couple of paragraph story written by a staffer.

Our Westpac sponsorship of the Shed got more airplay.

are Fox Sports News in love with Adelaide or something?

little mention today of Port Adeladie leading into an Adelaide story

talk about Mars sponsoring Carlton, and they show footage of their M&M guersey in a game against us

talking to Damien Hartwick and they show footage of Richmond vs Adelaide game (we wore the red guersey) and then in a game he played in as Essendon against us where he tackled Edwards ( I would guess 01-03)

Yeah and at that time they were opening stores religiously in Melbourne. They (3) didn’t infiltrate the Adelaide market for a few years after their brand was recognizable nation wide.
