At least three CFS volunteers were treated by SA Ambulance paramedics for minor burns and smoke inhalation, an SA Ambulance Service spokesman said.
A CFS truck was destroyed in the flames.
Early indications for the source of the fire were traced to the use of an incinerator, the CFS said on Thursday night.
Asked who would use an incinerator on a day of catastrophic fire conditions, CFS State Co-ordinator Brenton Eden said: “Someone who is going to regret it.”
Either of you guys involved in this? All sounding pretty nasty and 40+ tomorrow as well. Hope all is well.
The Humbug Scrub heading towards Golden Grove, Banksia Park, Fairview Park and Tea Tree Gully now. Seen on Facebook a few people living in those suburbs getting the automated texts to prepare to evacuate.

The fire looks massive - could see it from the Port River Expressway tonight!
Sounds like it is growing in size fast from hearing the CFS channels

If any of you guys are in or around Greenwith, don't **** around and just get out!
My advice is if you're anywhere even remotely close, especially down wind from the fire, just get the hell out. Houses can be replaced, people cannot. Stay safe everyone. If any of you guys are in or around Greenwith, don't **** around and just get out!
