Probably worried about nothing, folks in Williamstown not replying to texts are answering their phones at the moment

Edit - relief, still ok, but packed up just in case

any news? getting better? i live near the beach and yesterday around 4 a cool (cooler) breeze came through and a tiny spatter of raindrops, and i hoped it would give you guys and gals a hand...

Amusing Diversion:

woke up half an hour ago. had a dream the AFC BF crowd had chartered a bus to go to the Round 20 essendon game, and i was driving, Drugs Are Bad Mackay? was at the front of the bus looking out the window as we tried to work out where we were, i was driving but i couldn't get my iphone to gps me how to get to Bendigo, and i couldn't find it on any maps. i woke up as we passed the Elephant & Wheelbarrow on Torrens Rd (which had a humungous bridge over it). Elite Crow was there and was a woman (?). there were lots of people on the bus. very strange, and i kept thinking, we shouldn't have waited until round 18 to organise this. the game isn't even in Bendigo, it's at Etihad. Moral of the Story: Just Say No.

Tree took out a truck last night hurting the crew any news on them ?

Did you get to work with the CFA & RFS last night ?
Nearly happened to us too. Trees are all over the place, constantly falling over main roads etc. Didn't actually hear about any specific incidents.

Didn't see any interstaters.

Driving through the burnt area last night put into perspective just how massive it is. Going along main roads for a good hour, and everything left and right is just embers. Seeing the gutted houses is just shattering.

The amount of donated food up at staging area has restored a bit of faith in humanity - amazing community effort there. Well done to anyone who donated.

One thing's for sure, this is going to go for quite a while yet.
