I flew from Auckland to Brisbane today for my next tournament, and this is what the airline was able to do to my chair. Not a bad birthday present.........

There was another lady who had one of her wheels basically obliterated. It looked like a F1 car accident.

They had to check inside the wheel struts to ensure there were no drugs inside.

Thankfully the frame of the chair appears to be in tact for now, and the wheels from my tennis chair fit on my normal chair.

For a couple of hours it felt like I was going to be completely ****ed for the week.

Emirates, should have new wheels in the next few days. In the meantime the tennis wheels are doing the job thankfully. They're not great though for this chair.

It is hard to imagine how we'd be coping if we were just on a general holiday with only the one wheelchair. Would have been completely screwed.
