he was good to watch though.
One of my faourite players ever. The job he did on Brereton in the '87 GF was brilliant.

Played hard and fair. Yes only gave it back to those that dished it out.
Good skills and could play at most parts of the ground. Good overhead and below the knees.

I remember a player's poll when he was playing selecting him as the most over rated player in the league. I'd tend to agree, seemed to get a lot of attention because he was a headcase but I'll admit he did a great job when he won the Norm Smith.
Great player, and his thoughts on the modern game deserve respect.

No doubt about it, Dennis Banks is remembered for such an outstanding career. Decking Rhys-Jones and stealing a bus. Of course among the other highlights in his career was being a member of the Collingwood sides that continued to choke in Grand Finals in the late 70s & early 80s.

Very good player who always looked like he plenty of time to dispose of the ball. His job on Dermie in the '87 GF was undoubtably his best game ever.

Not true, when I think of him I always think of the 87 GF. And the way that he looked like he was playing in slow motion. One of those players who always seemed to have heaps of time up his sleeve.pazza said:
