I like it.
For me, I might consider dropping Kennedy for another rookie in the mids (more cash). Unless you're set on him.
Really not sure about Warnock as second ruck though...you hoping he'll be a permanent? Otherwise he'll be a bit stuck in the middle.
Also J Brown, not worried about his injuries? Started like a house on fire last year, but can only see him pulling out that sort of form on occasion, unfortunately.
But other than that it's pretty solid.

Round 4 your going to have Goddard, Gilbee and Murphy all sitting on the pine due to the bye and all in your backline.

Round 6 even worse.
Franklin, Varcoe, Duncan and Brown all sitting out so will definately cop a 0. Also would hope Hampson or Derickx playing as well as with Sandi sitting down in the ruck could easily cop a second 0.
In the mids you will be missing Bartel, Sewell and I.Smith.
Good news in the backline you will only be missing Broughton.
Not looking in for a good score unless you get in some early trades.

A lot of teams i have seen don't seem to have allowed for the byes in round 4,5 and 6 with 3 teams having the bye in those weeks. But don't tell anyone else as my team allows for these whilst still being kick arse.

Fair points, but I guess it depends on whether you're going for a league win or trying to win all the chocolates.

Rounds 4 and 6 aren't going to be head-to-head rounds, so if you're only aiming for league glory, then you can cop a few donuts in those rounds.

Lot of risky selections. Small forwards like Garlett and Thomas are usually inconsistent. Dawes has potential to be a solid scorer, but will let you down certain weeks, as will Grant and Jurrah. Kreuzer is a risk coming back from injury. Swap Silvagni he was handy last year not this year. The midfield is solid enough.

@chokewood: good team, except i would look at getting Hodge in later as i think he will start slow after his Achilles issues this pre-season.
Also very risky in the rucks, Petrie missing rnd 1+3 and Mumfords scores could be lower with Seaby back in the team.
Just get Cox and save urself $40k in doing so!

Krakouer will go into Fwds when GC play so Schneider is good for that switch... if he plays, but has looked good in preseason.

I changed my midfield got rid of pendlebury and boyd. Got Swallow and murphy. GOod bad???

I think Kennedy is in for a really big year but money sounds good. If looking for a rookie who??

Warnock should be first ruck for a while cause Big Matty K coming back from injury. And he started to show last year at the end that he can play.

J brown is my biggest worry if he plays is almost always ^100 but if he plays 8 games and get 100 in each then gets an injury ill just take it on the chin i think

Firstly in the backline I'd trade Shaw out for someone else, for his price you could pick up another player who will score higher more consistantly.

Second point is I wouldn't have 2 players from the same team in any one position at the same time. When the byes come around this could cause headches for you.

Third point please, and this goes for anyone DO NOT PICK BUCKLEY. I am assuming this is S.Buckley, if so PLEASE do not get him, he is a turnover merchant and therefor is no way suited to SC.

Love the ruck, wouldn't touch it.

Nice bench players in the foward line, looks fairly similar to mine.

Personally I wouldn't have J.Reiwoltd in my team, this year he will get much more attention therefor I don't think that he will get extremely high scores but that is just on a personal level.

In terms of your trading out Pendles for Swan, that I feel is a personal choice, both of them will score well so you should have no concerns in that department. Also I agress you should get rid of Libertore what I would do is trade Hibberd out of your backline and into the midfield and then trade Duigan into your backline who should play majority of games for Carlton this year.

Get stuck in guys, but remember its not a GnR side. advice like drop davis and knights for franklin and a rooky would really be missing the point.

What? No Gun/ Rookie?

Defense: Have you considered the likes of Easton Wood, Robbie Tarrant, Danny Stanley and Jake Batchelor?

Mids: Not sure about Hannebury and Kennedy in the same midfield and I think Vince has some sort of degenerative knee issue and will have to be managed which may affect his scoring ability? You could also consider Andrew Walker, Rory Sloane, Brodie Martin and Sam Butler who could all have some upside.

Rucks: The only other mid priced ruck similar to Warnocks price that I would consider would be Goldstein. With McIntosh out for the first 8 weeks or so, he will get plenty of ruck time and is also on the up.

Forwards: 2 dogs and 2 crows is the only concern. Neon Leon will score better playing in defense. You could also consider Mitch Morton MPP, David Zaharakis MPP, Chris Dawes and Ryan Gamble.

Petrie is suspended for round 1 and I doubt your benched rucks will be playing so you'll cop a zero there. Other than that nothing stands out to me, fairly standard team.

Backs are very good, bit of risk in the mids going for the 3 premium approach (especially with Hodge not going in 100%), Rucks let you down. And very risky forward with Sylvia, SJ and Higgins in the same forward line.

There's a fair bit of risk there.

You have Higgins, Knights, Tarrant and Otten all coming back from injuries.
Jolly had a slow pre-season.
Hayes looks to be on the decline, there may be a better premium option, Pav and Harvey could be going down the same path also.
You could be a player down the first week in the mids.
You also have 3 starting saints and 3 starting Dockers that could hurt come the byes.

Decent team that could go either way due to the risks taken

Who would you suggest as a better option? with only 7k left in the bank, the only other decent player i could get is bartel, who will score roughly the same as hayes but leave me with selwood and bartel in the midfield which will be bad come geelongs bye.
