Parker.

Started off the season in a shaky manner but quickly returned to his usual no frills style. Didn't have the best finals series, but overall his season was pretty good "mentoring" some baby backmen.

I think he still has a role to play in the backline, so if he wishes, another solid season beckons in 2007.

Warnock.

I expected very little from him, probably play reserves for the Munchers and then play a couple of league games towards the end of the season. He in actual fact went straight into the league team and played a pretty solid first season, showing that he is a highly skilled forward / ruckman.

He needs a solid summer of putting pork on (or should I say muscle ?), and he will only get better at WAFL level. Maybe given a taste of AFL late in 2007, but I reckon he may push JLo to another position in 2008.

Originally was Webster.
I didnt hold much hope for the guy, though it seems he may have saved his career for another year.
I still dont think he will be able to cement a permenant place in the side, so lets hope he proves me wrong :)

I eventually traded for Peak with Kenny, and we all know the type of player he is slowly turning into. If he can be a bit more consistent, he will be a star.

Aaron Sandilands. Started the year very poorly. Was given a bath by Robert Campbell in round 1. Very dissapointing. Started to find some form after that, improving in every game until he broke his jaw.

Came back with a vengeance and was the dominant ruckman for the last 10 weeks including finals.

Every year he takes his game to a new level. By the time he hits 25 no-one will come close.

Marcus Drum played a couple of games and did not look out of his depth before he pulled a hammy at Telstra Dome against Carlton. Travelled as an emergency for the Prelim. Final, will see a lot more of him next year. :)

Matt Carr

Started pretty poorly when used as a spare parts man earlier on the year, but in the latter half, when used primarily as a run with midfielder, he really hit straps. Contributed heavily in our winning streak and picked up some huge scalps in that time.

We missed him in the last half of the Prelim when he suffered a knee injury, but I hear he will be right come pre-season training.

Ryan Crowley

Bloody great!
Carried on from last year, continued to kick goals, provided a bit of niggle and got into the budgies fatboy behind the goals....gotta be happy about that!

Barring injury or a bad drop in form he should be a regular in the 22

i didnt see the first few games, first game i saw was dockers getting killed by brisbane.

Big fan of the ability this kid has, is the perfect man (or johnno) to be the loose man in defence, read the ball well in the air always and usually makes very good decisions. Sometimes i question how casual he sometimes appears, it almost looks as though he is not giving his all - thankfully i think this is just his style, would just love to see him run harder at the ball when it is loose though.

7/10 for the year, looking very promising for next few years! :thumbsu:

Johhno. Very happy with my selection. I thought he might have been given a few more votes in the Brownlow. Nonetheless he had a good year. If he keeps progressing at the same rate over the next couple of years he should attain the status of marquee player.

He should in the top 6 in the Doig Medal.

Looking to see him develop some upper body weight to compliment his torso.
On ya MJ.

Couldn't have been happier with the trade myself. The very next round after we made the trade, Webster came in for the Sydney game. Has really come along, proven to be a very handy player :)

Yeah, my bloke did okay. Didn't have the same ultra-dominant year he had in 2005, but still was pretty consistant over the season. Played all 25 games, kicked 67 goals, got picked for his 4th AA at age 24, will go very close to winning his 3rd Doig, has recently played his 150th game (including the last 120 on the trot), appears to have been annointed Club Captain for 2007. Didn't necessarily reach the great heights that we know he can... but when all is said and done, he's been good and I reckon we'll hang onto him for another year or ten. ;)

I don't have one,can I get one for next year?

Yeah, we'll probably run a Buddy Draft again for 2007 after the drafting and trading is all completed this year - provided we get enough interest from posters to get all the players on the list picked up. Reckon we might...

Probably this will grow legs later this year or next year. Mabey this thread isnt the place to bring it up.
Offering him the captaincy will put a lot of pressure on him to commit to Fremantle (hopefully) for the long long term. It could be smart move my Bellie to flag his intentions now because it gives the Club time to do some horse trading with Pav regards another contract and the Captaincy. So if he declines either or both between now and '07 it could affect the Club. All parties would be well aware of the consequences. In a perfect world he will be offered four years and the Captaincy and he will accept it without hesitation.
Interesting times ahead.

Shaun Mc Manus- proved that old dogs are capable of learning new tricks. Was at his best early in the season, not as dominant near the end. Either he dropped off or there was improvement around him in the second half of the season.
Would like to see him do 1 more season- get the 200 games and hopefully a premiership medal;) . THink he did enough this year to get another on the list.

Loved his TV ad too- shows the guy doesn't take himself too seriously. :D

My buddy has become the most loveable dirty little mongrel in the competition this year - and also one of our best and most consistent players.

After a bit of a disappointing 2005, Josh really stepped up in 06 and is now a pretty good chance of becoming our next (and hopefully premiership winning) captain. Great season buddy.

I expect a press conference to be called late October/early November to announce Pav as captain and also a new contract keeping him at the club until the end of 2009.

Schammer

5.5/10

Had his ups and downs this year. Improvement needed, but one thing we all know is that he 'll be working his backside off to do this.
Will take alot out of the prelim where he was quiet.

Expect improvement in 2007.
