If it were me I'd keep all the kids in..

Because we've had a brutal fixture, and now an opportunity against an opponent that Collard, Wilson, Box and Garcia can all feel good about.

Does it mean we take the eagles lightly?

But we're not in a win now phase, so give the kids a chance to feel good about themselves against an opponent they can genuinely compete against

It is. Lyon will be lighting fires up their ass to win this by 10+ goals at a minimum. 5/5 still puts us right in contention to make finals if we can get some consistency and the right team balance.

The list is the best it has been for years. Our biggest issue now is consistency, player availability and having them all play their best footy at the same time.

Playing bulk youth is making us less consistent at the moment and our best and worst is along way apart.

If players can't get on the field consistently they shouldn't be considered in the what ifs.

We have some quality kids but they are just that. Every other team with our list profile will finish bottom 6 and we will be no different IMO.

When you’ve won only one flag, and it was 60 years ago, you can only demonstrate potential success by rising up the ladder.

Us diving to the bottom, even if it is for a draft pick, will only reinforce peoples opinions that we will remain a flag free zone.

And good luck attracting any talent if that’s the case.

If you just default to watching your club and being happy when they beat the other team you should be fine.

Keels has been a bit of a disappointment to me, I really wanted him to do well.
We all think Lancey Boy is going to break out at any moment but it just ain’t happening.
Trav has been fairly meh in his games.
Hastie and Liam are only just honest plodders.
Ari just looks lost.
Darcy has gone completely off the boil.
Hally has showed a bit, he’s been a positive.
Everyone wants to drop Monty but he’s been streets beyond all of the above.
Ro and Steelo are just going through the motions.
Hilly has lost all hand eye coordination.
Hammer has the hardest set of hands in the league.
Our champion full forward can’t even get on the park.
Our vfl side is an absolute non entity, they’re actually an embarrassment.
When we lose we get absolutely flogged and when we win we look like world champions.
Apart from all that we’re not really travelling all that badly.

Ross mentioned at his presser that Sicily got 2 games in his 4 year-i think we have to keep in mind how young most of the group is (hill Ro and Steele excepted)and one of the hallmarks is inconsistancy

I'm genuinely interested in hearing what people think about this - from my view his pressure act and tackling stats are also very ordinary, and he's rarely ever defending 1v1 or intercepting.

What does he bring to the team every week that makes him an automatic selection? I love his endeavour but he wouldn't be getting a game at any serious club at the moment.

As an aside, Stocker gets the Geary treatment of "WTF does he bring here, guys a shit truck would GTFO at first opportunity" who the club just loves cause as your team-mate you know 100% of the time you'll get 110% regardless as one of the few "follow me in boys" types. Pou's one of these BTW, those that try to inspire others, Steele is not that and that's OK.

Granted not an auto, but Fme some people are harsh taskmasters, no glue allowed just cream that separates immediately then splits horrendously.

Or you can BDE it carry a club to stroke your massive ego and pinch one for the Dogs, Dees, us where anyone that cares you're talking 50+ years later remembers who what where when and how.

Agree you cant drop a kid when they get their first chance to play in front of a home crowd. He will have everyone he knows in Perth out there supporting him. His mum and dad were both WCE supporters so he probably was to, Ill back him to have a huge game against the Eagles and take it up to the biggest dick in the AFL - Harley Reid.

Stocker has been playing on the dangerous forwards that Jimmy can't handle anymore. Anyone remember Bolton doing anything 2 weeks ago? He almost won the game for Tigers last year in Norwood. Stocker stays in the side because Ross says "we have a role for you" and he commits to it. You need players like this in your club, especially with young players coming through.

I think the last couple times we have played WCE over there, they have been ahead at 3QT, so definitely understandable why our supporters might be nervy. I can see them clamping Macrae, maybe Ginbey plays on Macrae, or defensive forward on Wanganeen-Milera or Sinclair? Graham/Baker could also clamp.

We have to move the ball quickly against the Eagles, and if McGovern is back, we can't play our favourite game of "kick it to the same opponent in every entry". Need to keep the ball low, and win the stoppages.

This is "foot on the throat" type stuff this week. We've gotta be prepared to open the game up and get the scoreboard rolling.

The Tigers game is the blueprint. Time to show some class, we showed plenty of it in the first month, but since then it's deserted us (apart from the 2nd half against the Dockers).

It's a big three weeks before the bye... WC away, GC at Marvel, Melb in Alice. Find a way to go 2-1 or 3-0 and we can hit the second half of the season with a crack at finals.

Not sure how we play it with selection, Jones, Clark and Tobie all have to be in the mix. I wish we had more tall options but they're just not there.

we have to draft it and being mid table will not get us the talent we crave, esp when the like of Brisbane, GC and Bulldogs keep pulling F/S and academy top 5-10 picks every draft. WC are about to get an assistance package despite being a big club, winning a flag 8 years ago and just traded in 2-3 pretty handy players, despite being utter shit.

Finish last, mid table, it's all the same. The best talent goes north of the Murray or to dad's old team.

The only reason Callaghan knocked it back was because of the money, the expectations placed on him he felt was too much to carry it's got nothing to do with the status of our club as GWS are no better placed then us until they win a flag.

If TDK has the ball's he will take up the offer is TDK weighing it up only according to the media in reality he know's what he's doing ask yourself why hasn't he signed at Carlton if he was sure he was staying that theory works both ways.

Battle was staying up until R24 according to the media and supporters, he played the market well.
