He was running like he'd been riding a horse for 3 days. He wasn't right, we might have sent him on injured.

I'd say "sore" as opposed to injured, there's a difference.

By no means should anyone say we as a club are pulling and Essendon and voiding doctors orders on player safety by sending clearly injured people out for a full match.

Don't get me wrong... Keeping Nas is hugely important, so is getting a couple of signatures.

But if it comes to playing Travaglia or Jones.

Even though Jones is going to be more of a "sure thing" performance wise, I'm picking Travaglia with an eye to the next 40 games.
100% keep playing the kids, but you need to get the balance right.
We need to win at the same time as playing the kids - which we’ve done very well if you think of the games Owens, Windy, Pou, Wilson etc got early.
But the Saints cannot afford to drop down again - need every win we can get. We’re not a club who can get away with bottoming out again.

To quote the title of one of my favourite books, it’s “A Fine Balance”.

Shocking news on Howard. Lyon can GAGF with his smarmy comments about an adductor not being a real injury. Terrible decision making from the club.

What I want to see

Out: Howard (inj), Collard, O'Connell
In: Wood, Heath, Clark

B: Webster, Caminiti, Stocker
HB: Nas, Wilkie, Sinclair
C: Hill, Steele, Wilson
HF: Hall, Wood, Owens
F: Higgins, Sharman, Heath

Foll: Marshall, Malcrae, Phillipou
Int: Boxshall, Clark, Byrnes, Windhager
Sub: Garcia

He literally couldn't get out of a fast walk. That looked well beyond sore considering that he would have had the injury juiced up.

Forgot completely about Paddy Dow, worried he might just retire quietly at the end of the year like Crouch. Any actual updates on him?

I was right behind the goals Carlton was kicking to in the last quarter, and if Howard was a horse, they would have brought out the screen !!!! He was hobbling at a slow jog at best......

I doubt it unless he's really cooked the leg. His footy at the end of last year wasn't elite but he showed he could contribute well. He's had a shithouse run at to since arriving.
