Not enough talk around tomorrow nights jumper clash, god it’s going to be horrid.
Indulge a crazy, cranky, old, childless cat lady, please Mr Meow?I expect Blicavs will be the on ball/utility now. Clohesy the forward, albeit from sub. Stewart the back.

No I completely agree regarding Stewart. I've said I'd like him to return to that sweeping defensive midfielder role, giving us a bigger body in there. Maybe not full time, but here and there.Indulge a crazy, cranky, old, childless cat lady, please Mr Meow?
With the return of Jenry + without Dangerfield, why not play Stewart in the Midfield?
He has been successful in the midfield, with some impressive numbers. Yes, he has also returned to defence at times, highlighting the flexibility of his role.
Where is Stewart needed most tomorrow night? + who will he play on?

I'm just thinking they may start him where he has been played in 2025, first game back from injury. It would be a big ask to send him straight back in against the Dogs mids. However surely he or Blicavs will be in there a lot. Blicavs recent form around the ball makes me think he'll be the one.

/maligned.Thanks for explaining Mr Meow
Agree, a big expectation, give him time to return to his groove.
It’s why I ask questions of respected members of our board.
Despite being an ‘older’ Geelong supporter, I still need to + love learning as our team evolves.

The world and BigFooty alike need more good folk like you Zouz Kitty!

Fair. I just wonder if he can play a full game off 5 day break after an almost full game last week.
PO, bless his soul (and I'm sure it's not from a malicious place) has been doubting Duncan's capacity - maybe just concerning his body - to contribute and play out senior games for a while now. Certainly for all of 2025.He'll be fine, and the boys will be keen to get around him.
He did pretty good last week, slower but plenty of wily old nouse left in the old grey horse.
In PO defence last season Duncan looked cooked, and it stood out. This season he still is slower, but he has adapted his game, and still is using the footy well, and deserves to hold his spot.PO, bless his soul (and I'm sure it's not from a malicious place) has been doubting Duncan's capacity - maybe just concerning his body - to contribute and play out senior games for a while now. I agree that we need to manage him carefully when appropriate, but he is moving well and in a good rhythm right now. He gets by a lot on smarts and is still running to receive/support quite ably. We have to back him in this week and then give him a rest for the next game.
Over the last third of the season he did. He was crawling to the finish line. He was playing just as well as the last 3 weeks over the first 2/3 of 2024, although the opposite was protested. Picked up coaches votes 4 times, 20+ disposals a game over that period. His ball use fell off a cliff late in the year.In PO defence last season Duncan looked cooked, and it stood out. This season he still is slower, but he has adapted his game, and still is using the footy well, and deserves to hold his spot.

Tom Shelfatore? All the doggies fans call Bailey smith Bailey “sniff”
Talk about the kettle calling the teapot black… this is a little snippet of tom liberatore from Wikipedia below
On 5 August 2012, after a heavy loss to the Kangaroos in Round 19, Liberatore was found by police unconscious on King Street and was questioned about drug offences relating to the possession of what was believed to be ecstasy
I’m assuming they call him “ Tom sniffratorie” ??

Mullin is going to play the tagging role every week yeah? A tagging role where he has a focus but can still burn the other way is the way to go for him going forward. I mean every team will have at least one good player worth tagging right?
Fair. I just wonder if he can play a full game off 5 day break after an almost full game last week.
Not sure, he seems to have found a defensive niche. Scott is a master of deception though, might want to shake it up, tag on, tag off. Don't want to see him bombing into our forward half, there's still a touch of panic about him.
Our whole strategy for far too long has been to bomb it in. Harsh to single out Mullin imo.
Well we can only hope. Not only is Mullin doing it well, Its making him learn the game at a rapid rate, and you can see the improvement every week. He is starting to not second guess himself and just backing himself, and he is bloody quick.Mullin is going to play the tagging role every week yeah? He's going to get his 300th, and will play in spurts / blocks thereafter imo, as his body and form allows.
He looked slow and ordinary last season but has rallied after a good lay off..... I'm thinking he'll play cameos from here on in until we get our Best 22 back on the park.
