I noticed that too.
Its when the ump calls it

I think the rules say the ball has gone OOF when it entirely crosses the boundary on the full off a kick, AND that the boundary umpire signals when the ball has gone OOF. Don’t entirely contradict each other but adds a grey area.

My daughter follows freo. She loves the colour and the song. All game she was telling me how bad the blues are and i took it on the chin. When newnes kicked that goal and i seen her reaction i was so heartbroken for her. But at the same time so happy.. seeing the emotion and the colour leave her face reminded me how i look most games carlton play. By gee we had a good family night though. Great win carlton.
