Bolton has 4 key forwards playing and you honestly believe he wanted players to kick to the small forward.

Basically the club is not much better than last year. There’s something seriously wrong with the instructional system. The game day coaching continues to be abysmal. For the fourth game this year literally the same thing all day.
The team was gassed again by 3/4 time. Dow’s decision making and skills or not, it’s not the cost of the game.

The person responsible for ensuring Gibbons was basically the main key forward for the second half is the guy in the coaches box. He just watches it happen and makes no changes then wonders why there’s no difference in result.

Dew made changes and got things to happen to help get more run and overlap. He wanted it more.

Murphy did well today I thought. Walsh and Cripps, too. But again when you’ve got some guys who should be able to run and carry on the outside in fisher and SPS and even LOB and they aren’t doing that, who’s responsible? Again the guy who’s into what game in the 66 rebuild and still gets a free pass.

Ed Curnow is not a forward. Everyone can see it. Yet the coach believes he is?? We play 4 KPF and continue to kick to Gibbons??

As much as I want to single out individual player errors, I think we lost this game structurally in the forward line. The coaches have to wear this one. With McKay, Curnow and McGovern we manage to kick it on Gibbons head about 6 times deep in the forward 50 :/

Think about this;
Gold Coast , didn’t play a home game till rd 11 last season.
They lost their 2 best player, who also happened to be their captains over the off season.
They have a bunch of no names/recycled players, yet their coach has managed to somehow bring them together to the point where they have won 3 of their 1st 4, could’ve been all 4.
Excuses for us as a club are over. Right ****ing now!

Bolton has to be sacked this week the season is over. We are so bad forward of centre. Lobbe is terrible, Dow terrible ball use, Gibbons shouldn’t be playing. I don’t think setterfield know how to look before he kicks, at least he will have next week off.

Always had the feeling deep in my gut we wouldn't be able to hold on, the way we played.

But seriously, Gibbons at FF while we're top heavy?

I know people love to defend Bolton but I think it's time to question the coaching. The players look clueless and the structure is all out of whack. Why do we have have players like Dow who can't kick? Who the **** is our skills coach, and what has he been doing in the past few years?

I think it’s getting to the untenable stage now.

We aren’t progressing at all, won 3 of 36 games. I posted in another thread we are like a more spirited version of Mark Neeld era Melbourne.

We still have no proper help for Cripps to do the in and under stuff.

We have no small forwards on the list

We have hardly any run and carry players

I can’t think of a coach who has had this bad a run of wins/losses and gone on to be successful.

He maybe a good teacher, but a head coach he isn’t.

Games like that don't do anything to dispel the idea that this is a meaningless, dumb game, and we're all just wasting our finite time before the grave in watching it.

Pretty much said this to my 92 year old dad half way through the game.

Paddy Dow’s disposal won’t change and it’s a big problem going fwd.
Said it last week O’Brien needs a long long time in the twos.
Very disappointed to lose but more disappointed in the manner we lost, it was very clear who had the superior talent but the decision making is truly woeful.
