A top win vs. Sydney, well it was a win.

Fiora in trouble to keep his spot next week?

Gehrig and Blake to return?

We should win, but the Stevens, Judd and Fevola is always a bit of a worry.

Judd isnt fully fit yet. He wasnt that dominating against richmond. And what would be good is that its gonna be fast and high scoring game unlike the game today. Carlton backline is not gonna be able to handle Kosi, Nick, Gehrig. On the paper it looks like we're gonna dominate. We'll have to see.

Lyon said Gehrig will be back next week. Who will he come in for though? Maybe Blake and Gehrig in for R. Clarke and Fiora like so:

FB: Gilbert Max Gram
HB: X. Clarke S. Fisher L. Fisher
C: Montagna Hayes R. Harvey
HF: C. Gardiner Riewoldt Schneider
FF: Milne Kozi Gehrig
R: King Dal Santo Ball
Int: M. Gardiner Blake C. Jones J. Geary
Emg: Fiora Birss Armitage.

Thoughts?

Anyway we should win this one but more importantly with Carlton having arguably the leagues worst backline and us having one of the better forward lines we should kick a big score, if not something is wrong..

Just go out and play your natural game and you'll beat Carlton by plenty.
I don't think Raph Clarke will be dropped all year.

I thought Raph was quite good last night, made one blunder but then made a match saving mark late in the last. A good match up for a Edwards/Hartlett (if he gets off?)

I dunno, whenever he gets the ball I just think 'crap, raffle this one off to either team on the field'. He can play, no doubt, but he just...doesn't use that talent.

He does makes it hard.

Every team has a player that the supporters love to rip into at every opportunity and he's our man.

He just has that unfortunate habit of losing his concentration and making a crucial error at the wrong time. It was a vital stage of the match and I've got no doubt with the crowd screaming it wouldn't have been easy to hear but you just have to have more awareness than he showed.

Really glad to see him take that mark a few moments later.

In: Gehrig, Blake
Out: Fiora, Gardiner

Ease up.....was taken out of the game by O'Keefe. That being said O'Keefe didn't dominate.

It won't be Gram. Sure, he wasn't that great last night, but he's the quarterback and our best linebreaker. He regularly sets up 80 metre playes, runs 20, kicks 60. He'll play next week unless injured.

Attempted torp to Milney was awesome, shame he hit the post I think? Just loaded up last year against the Bulldogs style. Didn't really come off but man, hit Milney on the chest. And yeah, can't really see him getting dropped. Goodes got 7 touches and did nothing, he's not gonna get dropped after one bad game.

Yeah, right. After one tough game where he had an expert tagger on him, we're going to dump a Michael Tuck Medalist, only a few weeks after he won the thing.

Turn it up.

With Gehrig back, it will make it pretty hard for Carlton to contain him, plus Riewoldt, Kosi and C.Gardiner. Should be a reasonable game though. I'm certainly not going to the game thinking we'll get flogged like I have been in the past.

Moving forward there were 2 glaring things -

(1) we missed 3 consecutive easy shots in 3rd qtr . if we nailed them the result would have been greater
(2) we struggle on the quick rebound - Sydney run off in numbers after t/o leaving our half forward and onballers on the backfoot.
