Had to google it myself, beat the odds as last man drafted actually making the team, played a little due to injuries of starters, died very young of cancer.
Better have some fantastic writers if they want to make a decent movie. doesn't sound like Brian's Song or Bang the Drum Slowly level drama.

IMO there are some really good players who simply aren't seen as being that flexible because they don't have to get moved out, as they are an 8, 9, or 10 in their primary role.

I have no doubt that Jeremy Cameron would be a star anywhere he played - forward, back, midfield, second ruck. Equally, I have no doubt that someone like Lachie Neale could play in all three areas of the ground, but doesn't need to because it would be a waste.

For what it's worth, I don't think Blitz is good enough above his head to play as a key forward.

He is incredibly useful and flexible, but you'd always rather have a 10/10 if you can.

Rory Lobb is a very underrated footballer, largely on the basis of him being (a) a bit of a mercenary and (b) a bit of a unique unit. The guy is pretty capable as a pinch-hitting forward with bags of 3 and 4, he is a decent second ruck option, can play CHB and while he's not as good aerobically (who is?), he's better overhead.

Also, Pavlich, and Cam Mooney.

Can't say I recognise any of the stuff he's been in acc. to Google. That said, anyone who's about to assume the cape of Superman is going to become a household name ASAP.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but IMO, Blitz is the best player in the league. The bloke can play as a key back, ruckman, wing and lockdown midfielder, and sometimes all four during the same match and do the job superbly. Name another player in the league versatile enough to play all those roles.

He could probably be a key forward too but we haven't needed to play him there yet.

It's hard to rate the value of the mismatches he causes. At his best we gain half an extra player over the opposition.

I think we might drop this week. Tough game against the Poos and Wees, 2 days less of a break and Carlton finding some kind of form. Hope I'm wrong because it's the Blues and it is always nice to knock them off.

19 or the 20 1995 AFL Premiership players will be there too. We beat the Eagles at Optus in 2022 when their reunion is on so it would be great if we did do it.

Considering we lost to Carlton in 1995 GF, I’m hoping our Boyz trounce them, even if it’s to simply prove that Geelong has been one of the most successful, competitive + dominant teams.

If the stadium owners - Kardinia Park Stadium Trust, receive an option for the stadium to be leased out to another organisation or group, especially one that's going to pay good $$$ and not interrupt any current commitments, then of course that's going to be agreed to

Disagree, there is absolutely a movie in there. Chariots of Fire wasn't overly dramatic on the surface but managed to sweep all before it.

Wilshire picked a bad time to have a bad VFL game.

If he had another high-level game, you'd think he was a cert to play.

After watching him in the VFL... I'm not so sure.

Wiltshire has only played three games this season, yet kicked seven goals + was best player twice.

He has played 2 really good games this year, but last week he was very poor. He didn't seem able to cope with the bigger bodies of the AFL listed hawthorn players. But good luck to him if he does debut.

If the rumour above that Knevitt is out, you would think that we would have to bring in Clark. Like others here, I would love to see Mullin given a go in the midfield, but it probably won't happen. It will be interesting to see how COS goes up against Curnow and McKay. Go young man!

He has got talent. But he is playing in the wrong position. He also probably needs to build up his fitness base which is why wing and link up player hasnt worked in the past. He is basically the same build and has many of the same skills as dempsey. Should be playing a similar role.

I suspect this is exactly it. Dempsey ended up way more skilled and had greater endurance than was expected. And they had to fit him in. I remember the discussion, O Henry was supposed to transition from Forward to wing.

O Henry is hard at it - he definitely has a spot in the team, but I cannot figure out where he would excel!

Hmm if Knevitt is out as well as Miers i would be tempted to debut both Wiltshire and Stevens.

I would leave Clark in the 2s till he has had at least 2-4 more games as a pure mid.
Let him build some form in the one position.
