If what ive heard is true about the local journo playing mix and match with what he was told by one of the coaches in our league... Id like to think all clubs would enter into an unwritten and staunchly followed league wide refusal to deal or talk to the fella responsible. Journos are taught through their uni years about the ethics involved and related to that sort of shit, and its common place in any media outlets that its strictly taboo. At least that would send a message to the other papers and journos that cover us, that if thats the road you wanna take, the whole league, not just the one bloke or club that its directly effected, will stand together in reaction to it, it will not be tolerated, and their will be repercussions if you go down that path. Because it mightnt be you or your club involved when something like that happens, but if its left to just fly through to the keeper with no backlash from anyone, its a lot easier for them to continue doing it and maybe one day you and yours will get stung. I really cant see that happening at a local paper but. Not as if they have to sell more copys than the other two local rags, its not the bloody news of the world. Lazy uninterested journalism might offer the answer... Who knows whats gone on but. Matty pickles would never have ballesed up an article like that but. Bring back the purple pickle i say...haha
