Read in a local paper that Dayson Carroll (Kilmor pres) will coach the Reserves again, and Nathan Phillips will coach Under 18's. I think KFC is pretty confident of fielding an under 18 team, there is about 10 kids coming up from the Under 16's and they are probably hopefully of getting back a few from Broadford Under 17's.

Both Kilmore and Centrals should be able to get them up and running... Will make for a good 18's comp next season... Who apart from Riddell are looking the goods for the 18's comp next year?

Shwarze played juniors with diggersrest before going to sunbury lions then to melbourne
the same rumour went around last year that he would be playing at macedon sorry for the guys there but i think they would need 18 david shwarze's to take a step forward. If burgess stays they will lose players if he goes the club would lose a big cheque

mate when to you get your info from?

i could of swore that the david schwartz who i played with from under 10s to under 16s at sunbury was the same one who played at melbourne.
must be another david schwartz at diggers was there?

Rumours I have heard..... Can anyone confirm or deny at this stage... Or have any others

Lee James to Echuca
Brydon Morgan to Keilor
Al Meldrum to Macedon
Justin Bellville to Retirement
Lee James to Greenvale
Col Gadsden to WRFL
Shane Geddes out the Centrals door.

geddes oached me. he is so overrated. i have heard the meldrum one aswell.
what the rumor of j.b joing his bro at oak park?(on the proviso that he gets the pony tail cut off)

Ive been reading this site for a few weeks now. I do wonder where some of you blokes get your info from. For once and for all Meldrum is not playing at Macedon. He is playing again at Romsey.

Couple of things to throw into the mix.

Ben Talbot to Gisborne next year.
Steve Burlack to Romsey next year. (Apparently pretty close to Romsey Coach Kevin Fitzgerald.)

Kevin Fitzgerald will most likely coach again.

Majority of Romsey senior side will not leave the club. Infact unlikely there will be any major goings.

Interesting observation, I would say that alot of the postings are pretty close to the mark... Seeing as though most of my info comes from actually talking to the parties involved... But thats fine... You must be involved with Romsey... And obviously hoping for these guys to stay.... For the good of the comp I hope so... But for the good of the players involved (Meldrum and Morgan) hope they go... They could be good in other comps, and spread the word that there is actually talent in the RDFL... So as for the no major losses... I wouldn't hold my breath... But for the league and Romsey's sake, hope they do hold on to em....

finally some accurate info!!! commerford is unhappy and will leave, but no other players would have any reason to go.

i heard the rumour that commo is definetly leaving, i believe he lives in sunbury and is a chance to play for the roos next year depending on his knee anybody else heard this

We shall see how accurate it is wont we... Everything is speculation until the sides run out and the clearances are done and dusted....

Can guarantee meldrum is staying, never any doubt.
Commo wont be at romsey next year.

Morgan is the doubt. Dont know his movements yet.
L Carroll is being chased by Kyneton. Most likely wont go.

Unfortunately for the Kangas, all players from the previous season bar 3 moved into the Senior ranks this year. Add to that the loss of players to Lions from the Under 16's as well as one of the key players in the side playing Seniors for the year and it made it tough to get a full side on the park... Look for a much improved effort from the Kangas next season.

any b&f results for rockbank, woodend and diggers?

Chris Carasselos won the Rockbank B&F.. Woodend not sure about and same with Diggers... Anyone have any info?

Woodend Best and Fairest Results- Seniors, 1st- Adam Johnstone
2nd- Warren Else
3rd- Jae Downing

Reserves, 1st- Shane Engellenar(Boomer)
2nd- Brett Gardner

U/18's, 1st- Jarred Arnold
2nd- Daniel Eastley
3rd- Tim Jones

And to answer another thread Woodend under 18's has 6 players all going up, each of these not being really top class players except maybe Sam Bowen, Daniel Martin, and maybe David Hudson. So for i think the 5th or 6th year in a row Woodend will be a heaveyweight in the U/18's again althought i do believe Riddel will be almost unstoppable once again.

And also all information given by myself and Sugarray about Woodend is extremely accurate, given we are both very much a part of the club we only report the news that we here from the club on here to keep some of you RDFL fans informed. If some people are gonna go accusing others of making up stories then we will just stop letting you all know about the Happenings of the Woodend Football Club. P.s thanks to everyone that does report information that they here on this forum it really keeps us interested over the summer period.

Commerford if he gets his knees right will be a huge signing for the Roos. Geez that club just keeps getting bigger and better by the year. Jarrod has done a fantastic job for that club and i believe most can be accredited to him. Look out for Sunbury to be a powerful club within 3-5 years.
