What's the story here?

Just wasn’t working out, he came highly credentialed but just couldn’t find any form.

NBA sides are trimming their rosters ahead of the start of the season, the club’s probably got their eye on someone who’s been cut.

campaigners on the free way going 20km below the speed on the freeway while gapping the car in front of them by 50m need get off tge road

Anyone doing 10 or more under the speed limit needs to have their licence revoked.

Man it creates unwanted build up. Amount of times you think the toads are busy but you clear a few cars and its fine.
In the right hand lane?
Thats the worst and I recently saw a boomer in a ute throw a plastic bottle at some campaigner doing that

If there's a car in front of them, then what's the problem? You don't need to do 105 in the 100 zone until the gap is less than 2m then slam your brakes on.

Getting all hot under the collar over a 50m gap that you can't get into and that would save you ~3secs over your commute is very Perth.

FWIW, there is however a rule that you can't do less than 20km under the limit on the freeway if the road in front is clear.

Always love having old mate up my ass in peak hour when there is clearly a queue ahead of me because he's so desperate to be stuck in front of me instead of stuck behind as that means he gets to his destination quicker apparently.

There's a lot of people who just seem to drive at about 80kph. Speed limit is 60 - they drive at 80. Speed limit is 100, they drive at 80.

Also wtf is with people driving with earphones in? How are you supposed to hear emergency vehicles and all the other shit that is useful information to have while piloting a car?

That's a skill issue ;)

Finally got around to reading the High Court decision on Owens.

The Court (most of them at least) did find that the provision allowing the Minister to refuse a visa if the person would incite discord was a burden on the freedom of political communication, but that it was a permissible burden given that it had the legitimate purpose of protecting the community from dissension or strife to a harmful degree.

They differentiated between a person “inciting discord” and one who merely creates debate or disagreement. That’s probably the difference between her getting refused and someone like Tucker Carlson being allowed in. (I’m assuming - I’ve never seen anything of hers but from the descriptions in the judgment it seems much more like hate speech than stuff I’ve seen from Carlson).

Sorry, back to freeway driving.

I don't get how this works with her background - who is she hating on?

Look few things are more frustrating than tail-gaters - whether there's space in front of you or not. However, if you can safely do the speed limit, then do the f*cken speed limit. Just coz you have time to dawdle through your life doesn't mean everyone else should be subjected to your bull shit.

Obviously the you in that paragraph is not the literal you, just some c*nt that thinks they can choose how fast and/or slow they're allowed ro go amd everyone else can deal with it.

Does anyone else get annoyed when country driving and your adaptive cruise control is set to 110 but then you come up to someone doing about 108? So then you have to make a decision as to whether it's worth overtaking and maybe come across as someone who seems in a rush for no reason, or do you just put up with going 2kms slower?

I usually overtake. I can't see my speedo needle dip below 110.

Or they could just DO THE F*CKEN SPEED LIMIT.

The autobahn in Germany is well known as being a racetrack with no limits (not strictly true, there are limits near urban areas, just limitless between them), and they are mainly only two-lane on the fast sections.

The reason that they don't have a massive death toll on their roads is that they all know the rules, and they've learnt to drive properly

Only go into the overtaking lane when actually OVERTAKING, then pull back into the slow lane again when able. NO SITTING IN THE FAST LANE. EVER!

The Mitchel has 3-4 lanes in places, yet fuds over here just mosey along in the fast lane at 60KPH, eating their breakfast, texting d!ck pics, and generally being entitled twats. Boils my p!ss.

/Time for a cup of tea, a bex and a lay down...I feel a turn coming on...

I never understood where the old wives tale of Perth drivers not being able to merge came from.

Now that I live souf and have to put up with the afternoon traffic on the Kwinana as I drive into nightshift... I completely understand. It's not a wives tale at all. It's ****ing true.

90% of the traffic jams on the freeway aren't caused by crashes, it's just people not knowing how to merge.
