Good call on the draft there fellas. I dont touch it with a 10ft pole. I think a few people have got attached to certain players and will look for any excuse to bag another player out based on youtube highlights. Its ridiculous

Never really read the phantom drafts, I wouldn't have a clue about young kids who haven't played AFL.
Once they start playing well at AFL level I will notice them until then....meh.

True, but most supporters of clubs do have a habit of pumping players up before they have played AFL, regardless of seeing them play or not play prior to being drafted. I guess it is understandable but it can certainly get annoying. See: Melbourne fans.

The problem I have with the pre-draft talk is how players are talked up to be the next Judd or Reiwoldt or Ablett etc and then in 9 months time they are all hacks based on a handful of games of senior football. About the same time as the next group of superstars are being talked up and the cycle continues.........................................
FWIW I reckon we are going to take Lucas based on nothing more scientific than I saw a photo of him from the teal cup and he reminded me of a young Chris Judd in terms of physical appearance.
And yes I have seen subsequent footage of him that dispels that initial observation, but I will not be swayed.
