Re-clarification from Essendon spin machine

i think its prudent to ask for clarification on the web of spin that's been coming out of the club since this sordid story started.
Simple questions that have been reported to be untrue (whether they are or not isn't the point) and allow the spin machine to put forward their revised position or debunk the "facts" as we know them now.
I'll try and keep up with the thread and modify my post of all the questions we wouldn't mind being reclarified after they've been debunked initially.
I'll start:

Surely the presence of Essendon PR Consultants on Big Footy, Twitter etc is of no surprise to anyone. They do more than just spend all their time reassuring Hird, that he has done nothing wrong and it will all be fine, when everyone finds out what the PR Hacks want the public to know.

Not saying that it wouldn't happen, it would be prudent to do so, but they would normally do this incognito.
However, there are many questions and untruths that have come out of those press releases and its 99.9% sure that this user is Hird's spin doctor so now it would be nice to get some clarification on these press releases.
The other side of this, is for all those "journalists" who also frequent these boards to start asking the questions about debunked 'Truths" or "Half Truths" from the spin coming out of Essendon and actually do their job....

I would prefer this didn't become another "chat" thread, instead it being just a thread on the questions you want answered

Because they were mates? Because Dank was still trying to convince Hird that AOD was awesome, and having Charter there to help re-enforce it's awesomeness could've got Hirdy over the line, considering Hird and Charter went waaaay back? Hird and Essendon were up there for a pre-season training camp, not a peptide conference.

Actually, it is hard to see, because there's no evidence other than your imagination that Hird knew Charters was going to be on the Coast at the same time as them.

Um, who said that Dank ever told Hird that he invited Charter? Charter was there with his family and we were there for a pre-season camp; you could've forgiven Hird for thinking that it was indeed a chance meeting (not knowing that Danky had set it all up).

And as to my motivation - as I have said many times, I hate witch hunts and kangaroo courts. IMO the public has been played like a fool with selective leaking designed to push an agenda (we can speculate on who & what agenda). I've worked in the justice system for many years & I can smell a miscarriage of justice a mile off.

Public opinion has been manipulated to such an extent that the integrity of the investigation and any resulting sanctions is now blown.

If this were a criminal case it would never get to court & the people 'close to the investigation' would be sacked.

If it were a civil case....say players vs the club it might.

He will print and repeat some pretty dubious claims as if they are true because - he was told by the source. But I note he gives the unvarnished version from the person (whether it be Dank, Charter etc). Then he says something like "It's hard to know what's true." To me he is just leaving it up to the listener, and also implying "Beware!"

It was curious he didn't buy into Whately's breaking news the other day.
