I'm worried about the Lever situation and won't relex until he signs but I don't think McClure would have any sources at all
There are some you trust more than others. I'm pretty confident that McClure is talking out of his backside. If Caro says it then I'll try to find a tall buildingYou're not suggesting that someone in the media would just make something up without any facts to back up their claim are you?
I am shocked that you would think anyone in the media would do such a thing.

I don't know how connected the media department and the list management area are. So this article may not have anything to do with them resigning or not.Interesting this was posted by the Crows on twitter and their website:

Almost all of them make stuff up from time to time. Sometimes when they are out of the loop they throw guesses out and try to see how people respond to those guesses to try and figure out what the truth is that way. There are some you trust more than others. It's something thats impossible to be wrong on too.Almost all of them make stuff up from time to time. Sometimes when they are out of the loop they throw guesses out and try to see how people respond to those guesses to try and figure out what the truth is that way.
Sam McClure suggested on SEN this morning that there is more to the lever situation then just waiting for the CBA. If we just have had added in the contract escalators he would be signed by now
I know Sam McClure. He does have some connections, but he also likes to come out with inflammatory comments where he hedges and can't be wrong, such as this, to keep himself relevant. There's more to it than simply Jake waiting for the CBA could mean anything, as others above mentioned. He's barely worth listening to.
He did the same thing with Brouch last year, mentioning that he was looking at big offers and "speaking with clubs" back home. This is 100% true, but is also true for every decent player who comes out of contract. I asked him straight after reading the comments on Brouch last year, he said that he had (or his management at least) spoken to 2 clubs in particular, Hawthorn being the major one, but that he was confident he'd re-sign a long term deal with the Crows, which he did not a week later. Didn't add the last part to his original comments though, because that doesn't get any airtime.
Absolutely, but the media spin it as players potentially looking to leave, because it gets more hits. Sam is good at saying something but saying nothing, and can always claim that he was right.Part of that talking to other clubs is the best way for most managers and players to get an idea on market value for themselves. Then they can go back to negotiate with their own club.
Speak for yourself. The US trip with Cavo and Mods looks awesome.OK. Memo to Adelaide FC. I don't want to know about an opportunity to do something with Tony Modra at the moment (yes we love Mods). I just want the next members email to be an announcement that both Lever and McGovern have re-signed long term contracts and that they are giving a joint presser to declare their undying love for the AFC.
His pink lipstick is just the cherry on an already punchable cake.Sam McLure is Toby Green-esque in terms of having a head you just want to punch
Don't want Brad ScottWas someone on 5aa suggesting Brad Scott was in Adelaide talking to Lever? Only caught the last bit.
We have quality players; they do not.Why the hell doesn't anyone target port players, apart from the obvious. Are we that much of an easy target.
Isn't that just cause all club websites are run through the AFL and it automatically posts items relevant to each club?Interesting this was posted by the Crows on twitter and their website:

That's not quite true, they were very lucky to hold Hartlett last year after so much interest. Why the hell doesn't anyone target port players, apart from the obvious. Are we that much of an easy target.
