Liam Shiels is also referrred to as Pup similar to michael clarke in the australian cricket team. Possibly a reference to the fact that he was the youngest player on any AFL list last year

Hope its ok to intrude on your board, but I played in a super rules over 45s game against Mark Graham recently and noticed his team mates called him GB/gee bee. Does anyone here know the origins of the nickname?

BTW he is still very, very fit and moving around well - hasn't lost that long left foot either.

This might be wrong but believe it's because he used to have a nervy 'chuck' before each game eg had a heebie geebie

I think Mark Graham was Heebie.

Why is Grant Birchall 'Gooch'?
