Was over at PRO and reading the Dimma thread there....Rebound 50's...apparently one of Dimma's key stats.
To stop a Rebound 50, you get the ball in and clog the forward line to keep it there. Opposition push numbers back to fight the good fight.
Means whenever space opens, all the forwards hunt it...which has been our pet hate...blokes spoiling the other, or leading backmen into the gap.
Relies on grunt to get it there and keep it there...and if an intercept occurs, the whole field from 50 backwards is open and the opposition have the initiative.
The Hawks were 2 plus goals up against the Dons with 4 minutes to go and decided to lock down the F50...the Dons applied the pressure to open them up for the first 2...and yes Hookers goal was a once off...just thinking how many times we sought out a "better" option because we began to panic as our amount of ball time wasn't being converted on the scoreboard.
