I can't see that this has been mentioned anywhere. Though the first article calls it a junior club they are not referring to underage football (it was just not a "senior club"!):

22 Sep 1928 - 94 Straight - Trove (nla.gov.au)

This could mean the streak was still going at the end of 1928, but not sure about that.

30 Sep 1926 - Y.M.C.A. FOOTBALL - Trove (nla.gov.au)

06 Nov 1928 - ABBOTSFORD CLUB. - Trove (nla.gov.au)

They did lose this game at the start of 1929:
1610247272418.png
So if that winning streak was 94 at the end of 1928 it didn't go past that.

They were knocked out of the League Sub-District finals, so didn't win a seventh Premiership in a row.

They obviously did lose some games during that 1928 season (which was their first in that competition). What isn't made clear in that article about the 94 wins in succession is exactly when it ended. Looking at this bit again it does probably suggest the streak occurred only in the Y.M.C.A. competition:

How this can be proven one way or another (especially given what you've said about coverage of those matches) I do not know!!

21/4/1928 Lost opening game to Fairfield Districts
Looking at the article (Y.M.C.A. FOOTBALL - 30 Sep 1926) from up the page a bit again it's quite clear they were undefeated in that competition from 1923-26, as they were congratulated on their achievements at an end of year meeting of the Association. Whether the four years undefeated turns out to be four years of winning every game, who knows (The Sporting Globe seemed to think it was)! The streak must have continued into (and probably up to the end of) 1927, until they moved to the Sub-District League in 1928.

I'm not sure whether this is suggesting that streak was in fact 72 wins in succession (instead of 94), or simply that this chap was in the team for 72 wins in a row.
Having had another look through the above article, I'd say this bit should mean that he was with Oakleigh 1926-1928 (also there in 1929 when they joined the VFA).
1610264820695.png

1925 should have been spent with Collingwood District. That should leave 1922-1924 where he was captain of Abbotsford, and probably playing for them before then. Since that long winning/undefeated streak is meant to have run from 1923-26 (possibly into 1927) he can't have been there for anywhere near the full 72 (wins in a row) games, the way it looks to me. I do now think that 72 (rather than 94) is more likely to be the correct figure, as it was the same newspaper only a few months earlier that was going with the 94 wins in a row claim. Perhaps it was pointed out to them they had it wrong and changed it?

18 rounds H & A + 2 finals = 20 per year.

Back in the 1920s 18 round season was the norm.

Yeppoon Swans' 100th straight win sees rise of Aussie Rules in rugby league heartland

Three AFL players in red uniforms enter a dark room under a banner reading: Swans players only

The indomitable Swans have extended the code's longest winning streak to 100 games.(

When Matt Wallin's team last lost a game, the world hadn't heard of COVID-19, Donald Trump was just a businessman, Muhammad Ali was still alive and a woman had never ridden the winner of the Melbourne Cup.
Key points:
  • The Yeppoon Swans become the first team in Aussie Rules history to record 100 straight wins
  • Players are more proud of the culture the team has created and the recruits it has inspired
  • AFL Queensland says it is one of the driving forces behind the growth of the code in rugby league-dominated central Queensland
The tale of the Yeppoon Swans — a ragtag group of amateur footballers spearheading the rise of Aussie Rules in rugby league heartland — has been heralded as one of the "great footy stories".
Their winning streak spans six years, three prime ministers, two coaches and multiple players — and is the longest in Aussie Rules history by 22 games.
But watching the Swans train in the lead up to their 100th win, you wouldn't pick it.
They sprint back and forth through a series of cones in shirts versus skins passing drills, then double over gasping for breath only to start again a minute later.
They take turns kicking goals from 30 metres out as the rest of the team screams to distract them — a miss is met with a walk of shame to retrieve the Sherrin and try it all over again.

Coach and player Christian Burgess (number 46) says being ruthless, putting in effort, but showing respect are what the Swans are renowned for.(
ABC Capricornia: Tobias Jurss-Lewis
)
There is no complacency, no arrogance. This does not seem like a team that has won 99 on the trot … let alone one training for what should be a gimme victory against the bottom of the ladder team at home.
"It's a Swans' method … being ruthless, putting in effort but showing respect is what we want to be renowned for," coach and player Christian Burgess said after the team claimed their milestone win.
He gestures toward the sea of red-and-white Swans jerseys that surround the pitch as the key to success.
"They continue to come down … and support us. Whether it be at training night strapping ankles or having a beer or rallying behind us [on game day]. That's why we continue to be successful," Burgess says.

The Yeppoon Swans beat Gladstone A-Grade to claim their 100th win in a row.(

)The Immortals
Swans captain Matt Wallin claims to be a normal bloke but on the footy field he is invincible — a titan who has captained the team through all 100 wins.
Swan Park is his Olympus.

Former Swans coach Mark Wallin (left) and his son Matt Wallin relish the win.(
ABC Capricornia: Tobias Jurss-Lewis
)
Stamped in red letters on the clubhouse is "Home of the Swans", and the A-grade side laid that claim with authority in their 273-6 win over Gladstone A-Grade.
Nine months ago, while Wallin's father, Mark, was coaching the team, they claimed the record of the longest winning streak from South Australia's Healthfield-Aldgate; the weekend's victory made them the proud owners of the code's first triple-digit winning streak.
Ask AFL Queensland chief executive Trish Squires and she will tell you it's one of the great footy stories.
But not because of the victories or the records that Queensland has now taken from the Aussie Rules homeland.
"It's more about the community connection," Ms Squires says.
"It sends a message to people outside Queensland, of what we believe in AFL, that footy is much more than playing a game.
"People are very connected into the Swans and it's part of the community."

Fans and players sing with joy as the Swans claim the milestone victory.(
ABC Capricornia: Tobias Jurss-Lewis
)
There's living proof in the grandstands of Swan Park — in the older men wearing vintage shirts who tell stories of how they played hundreds of games for the Swans in the 90s and in the newborn bubs in miniature jerseys who stare at them.
"Footy or not, it's one of those places that whether you're here in the crowd or playing or a kid or a mum or a girlfriend everyone gathers around," former coach Mark Wallin says.

Yeppoon Swans fans come in all shapes and sizes.(
ABC Capricornia: Tobias Jurss-Lewis
)A bright future
When asked about the Swans' historic 100th win, Burgess — who took the Swans reins from Mark Wallin earlier this year — says he's "incredibly proud" but prouder again of the Swans culture.
"A loss is inevitable; it's going to come," he says.
"What we're doing is bigger than us and bigger than the club, and it's putting CQ on the map in terms of footy.
"That's the culture that's being created here and it's spreading to outside our club and the community and AFL Capricornia and beyond."
AFL Capricornia saw a 22 per cent increase in participation in its junior footy program, Auskick, this year. Across the state, participation jumped by a record-breaking 13 per cent.
"Friday night we get 100 kids here in the under sevens, under nines and under 11s," Mark Wallin says.
"That's because the side's good, the club's good, and we've got such a great little community here that backs us.
"It leaves us in good stead for five, six, 10 years to come. We're not going anywhere, in other words."

Easts Carnarvon beaten for first time in 3.5 years (1953)

I can't see this listed on is thread

This could be of interest or could be a dead end.

Edwin Atkinson was an aboriginal football player
who lived in the Cummeraganja area through to 1952
became a pastor

Doug Nicholls is his nephew

His OB says he captained an Aboriginal team which was unbeaten
for 5 years.

Cummeraganja did go unbeaten for a long time around 1901 but
he seems to have been too young (12) for that team.

I think if this streak exists, it would have been the mid-1920's. Cummeragunja were in the Western & Moira Riding FA and won a couple of premierships in a row in this era.

An E. Atkinson played for the club in 1927.

He would've been 38 at this time. Unlikely, but not out of the question.

Yes, that looks more likely, and Eddie Atkinson was still playing around that time: Cummeragunja, the Aboriginal football team that was too good – NSW Australian Football History Society Inc

It does say "unbeaten for about 5 years" in that obituary, so perhaps they lost the Grand Final in 1930 (and won all the rest from 1926-31), and the winning run went from early in 1926 until then?

Edit: In fact they didn't make the 1930 Grand Final, being knocked out the week before, but they weren't the minor premiers, so if there was a run of about 5 years without defeat then that may have ended at some stage during the H&A series:

Looking at the names listed, a number of VFL/AFL players could be be descendants or relatives of the team members, Eddie Jackson, Jarrod Atkinson, Sean Charles, Nathan Drummond, Nathen Lovett-Murray, Djaran Whyman, as well as, Andrew Walker (mentioned in the article).
