That happens in the US as well, just a standard mini mission you come across.
 
I assume I'm pretty close to the end, so
how ****ing annoying is it trying to kill the crows eating the corn?! **** me dead, being a farmer is boring. Not sure how far there is to go, but there can't be long, I have Wife, Son and Uncle missions at the moment.

Re the crows, I see them flying into the silo hole, is it just a matter of killing as many of the dirty ****ers as possible?

I even had a bitch in underwear steal mine! Like all the others, she immediately got a Deadeye bullet in the back of the head :D I have noticed something a bit weird though... A couple of times I couldn't get a shot off, and the **** ****ed off on the horse, but when I whistled, the horse came back, and the thief was running on foot! Needless to say, I immediately chased them, lasso-ed them and dragged them round behind my horse for a bit before brutally executing them

On this:
I reckon they kinda did the game the wrong way around. Should have been playing the farmer at the start, getting the hang of all the controls cool shit you can do by unleashing on animals, before going into killer mode. Felt like the game really slowed down when it should have been going at break neck speed.

I totally agree! While I was kinda enjoying it (loved the family interaction, seeing Marston from a killer to a regular dad..sort of) , games usually do this. You learn before you actually gotta do it more often, not just thrown into the thick of things. Fair enough its where the story ends up with the son and all, but yeah I felt like it slowed down heaps after all the shit with Dutch and all.

I knocked this off first crack. All i did was use a gun with high capacity (evans repeater, 22 rounds) and just auto aimed the shit out of the crows, concentrating on those close to the hole at the top.

Basically just tap left trigger then fire, rinse and repeat. After a short time the crows piss off. Only lost about a 10th of the corn bar.

Then proceed to collect a shitload of feathers and make some poker money:thumbsu:
 
Has anyone else had any issues with completing a task for the clothing items and not being able to have it checked off? I must've searched "solomons folly" and completed that mission a good 6 times yet cant get it checked off the checklist. Everytime i get back to town it says solomons folly complete yet it wont check off. Any help?
 
You have to find a chest in solomons folly for the challenge to be completed. Just being there isn't enough...

Go into Outfits and go to the outfit you want and press the square button (For PS3). It will hightlight the area in a purple circle and you have to find a chest. It's a pain in the arse, but worth it.

PS the mission you completed 6 times that you are refering to is the hideout mission for "solomons folly" eg return the safe to armidillo. Nothing to do with outfits.

Having said that, I just worked it out myself last night, and initally thought the same as you.

wow, I couldn't agree more. It would have been the perfect opportunity to learn the controls, but I guess yeah, they had the storyline order to think of. Do agree, it would have been better to make that the first bit

nice one bruvva. Actually makes me think I haven't been back to the gunsmith in a while. Not sure I have that gun FFS. Jesus wept, if I've been playing without the best weapon... :mad:

Yeah that confused me at first, but that mission you're doing ain't Solomon's Folly, as outlined above. You can complete tasks within those repetitive missions (there's a cattle rustler one as well IIRC), like 3 headshots n shit
 
Trying to play this game properly but find myself riding horse carriages off cliffs, killing everyone i see, riding my horse into trains, shooting my horse while i ride it, trying to wipe out entire towns.......so much fun. Is playing the game properly more fun than im having now or should i continue to just f*** around every time i play it :D?

As far as I'm aware, ****ing around and killing everyone and thing that moves is considered playing the game properly! In fact, if you don't do that, you're doing it wrong.

Personally, I like to keep my Honour intact...On the first playthrough anyway. I suppose when the game starts getting old, I will resort to the above to mix it up a little.
 
Finished it earlier today and woah, (highlight to reveal) --> R.I.P John Marston..i liked him as a character, probably my favourite game character i've ever played with and i've played a lot of games, so glad i got to put a bullet in Ross, after the duel i put another couple of rounds in him, then looted him and got a handy $460 <--
 
Was playing poker at Theives landing and heard some gun shots during but didn't think much of it. I then walk outside after finishing to see 20+ bodies scattered around with just some guy hiding behind a box shooting anything that moved. Funny stuff.:thumbsu:

Yeah I get this mini mission quite often, it's gotten that predictable that I just pull up near the guy and shoot him. Saves me having to get off my horse. Don't bother looting him cos he's only got a couple of dollars.

Mexico has some pretty hardcore wolf packs. I've seen 10 just hanging out on a track somewhere, I just keep my distance and take out as many as I can with my winchester repeater, and hope I don't get mauled while I'm skinning them all.

I wish there was a way to skip the skinning animation. It was cool at first but I've seen it hundreds of times now. If my horse is standing over the animal, sometimes it doesn't run the animation.
