Yep. Confirmation is needed of purchase and has to be faxed to HQ

Once this is done, the buying team gain permission and email is sent out stating to sell. Happens within 30 mins nation wide on the big games

What triggers this? One sale of a game by a clueless squeaky voiced teen at K-Mart or what?

How does this information get out?

Was a bit worried after the first five minutes, hitched my horse to a post, went and started a mission came back out and the horse was floating above the post. Sigh. After that its been sensational.
You must have got the special edition Hover Horse.

Am about to fire up my copy very soon.....still eating. Nothing gets in the way of eating.

Missed out on grabbing it today (BUSY at work)and hopefully i get there before JB shuts tomorrow (if work commitments dont get in the way:() but it's going to get a flogging sat night, after work :(

I have heard the first hour or so of play is very slow, so for those those that have/are playing it is this so?

got the game, its awesome so far except for one thing!

I havnt saved in a while and i just went into a mission and its stuck on loading been loading for 10 mins ! :(

Just had the best glitch ever. I was tracking down a bounty on the far side of the map, finally caught up with him, shot him in the leg, then as I was hogtieing him, I realized it was on the train tracks, heard the train coming, was thinking shit I'm dead, gonna have to do the whole thing again, train goes over the top of me, instead of being killed I was inside the train with the bounty on my shoulder, rode it all the way back to armilldo, saved me a very long ride. :D:thumbsu:

hahahaha glitches like that are alright!

I'm loving the game so far, no glitches here. So, so big...

Just picked up my copy but won't be playing until tomorrow.

Footy show is about to start and I have work early in the morning so I will have to hold off.

Can't wait to start playing....Also got to pick up Alan Wake!

Wishing I had've bought this now.:(

For those playing. Can you ride the train? Or more specifically, drive it? One of my favourite things in San Andreas was driving a train as fast as I could along the tracks just to derail it on a massive corner causing mass chaos.:D

I can't wait to break it out tomorrow, hop online and try out my southern drawl over the mic.

"PILGRIM!":)

Best thing so far - going to the cinema and watching the movie. Funny as hell.

Weirdest thing so far - I lost a horse when I fell off a cliff down a ravine.:(

Haha, it didn't happen to be the Clayton/Eastwood Ravine, did it? ;)

Just on that, can't wait to strut into a bar ol' Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen style and shoot at someones feet yelling for them to 'Dance runt/sukkah!' after they accuse me of being 'Yella'. :D

BTTF FTW!

How does this information get out?

Info gets out easily. one of our stores will have people calling and stating that retailer "x" is selling the game. We call them to confirm, if they are, we wander over and pick up a copy. Fax the receipt to HQ (buying team) who then get the info they need. Once they have the ok from the vendor, its sell, sell, sell.

What triggers it. Sometimes just 1 copy sold is all it takes. Then said person goes onto the interwebs and brags about it, then all hell breaks loose. It creates a chain reaction. Sometimes its a whole chain being stoopid (see KMART and Fable 2)

The main one is a major chain selling it early. they do get punished though, so i don't really see the point.

This is a seriously impressive game. I've just logged 4 hours into it in one night. The last game I did that with was Fallout 3.

The only negative so far is those damn jaggies. The characters, horses and landscape look great but the buildings are horrible

BTW HBK, I bought those triggers you suggested and they're great. Such a simple thing but it makes a huge difference :thumbsu:

I tried to just dip my toe in... then got stuck playing for 3 hours. Just got the lasso and tried a bounty mission and it was really tough. The bad dude's posse comes after you and rips you apart when you're on your way back. Multiple times. Bust out of poker. Honor is varying wildly, as all of the missions in towns end up being honorable (as you can't really shoot anyone with witnesses around) and any time I'm out in the wilderness I mow down every man and his dog as we cross paths. Duels are fun. There's even less clothing/appearance customization than in GTAIV but the challenge of unlocking the outfits does appeal.

The score/music is fantastic though, especially when you venture close to the mexican border. On the whole, and at this very early stage, the game really really really lives up to my expectations.

Good work, I highly suggest them for anyone else having issues with L2 and R2 at any times.

If anyone decides to wander into the bank in Armadillo and accidently go in the back.....run because the sherriff will shoot you.:o

I wasn't even stealing or anything, I was just looking...

Hahaha, I did the exact same thing, just looking around, whats back here, shit. Thought two lawmen, I can take'em... its not as easy as killing cops in GTA.
