Anyone else see it? Pretty trippy, why was it red for? It was back to normal around 2am IIRC.

The smoke and ash high in the atmosphere would have no doubt affected the colour of the moon & the sun.
This happens from time to time after major fires or volcanic eruptions.
For example, after the Krakatoa eruption in 1883, the sun appeared green and the moon blue (hence the expression "once in a blue moon"). And a mysterious object that crashed at Tunguska, Northern Russia in 1908 created such a fallout from the explosion that the sunlight & moonlight were affected for months afterwards.
I wish the moon was always blue, that would be pretty cool. White is such a boring colour.
