Realistically it has been coming for 12 months now. We did get the spoon last year but we were right in it until the last match, we were second at one stage. We have the best captain in the country, a settled top and middle order who now contribute in most games and a deep seam bowling attack. We will make the final this season IMO. Having said that we need a big lead because I cant see the Vics failing again.

Getting rid of talented yet underperformed players such as Cossie, Cleary and Haberfield shows a bit too, years gone by we NEEDED to keep them. Win this and United lose Sunday arvo, thread title needs to be changed sadly.

A Redbacks side that is probably feared? It may seem like an exaggeration but the last time the SA side was this good was back in 82-83 when we had a decent batting line up and an opening attack of Rodney Hogg and Joel Garner

Its great to see us battle after losing early wickets in both innings. Our batters all have the ability to take the game away from a team very quickly, Hughes and Cooper particularly. Kane Richardson could be absolutely anything if he stays fit and our attack toils hard and has strike power especially if Putland doesn't break down.

Great win today, little bit harder than it should have been but convincing enough against the enemy
