Ok so I've got a concept here, not sure if it's gonna work but here it is.
18 Essendon board members will have 4 picks each. They can use those picks to select anyone who qualified for the 2016 AFL draft. These are the picks available.
Poster A. 18, 19, 37, 72 (2435 points)
Poster B. 17, 20, 38, 71 (2431 points)
Poster C. 16, 21, 39, 70 (2430 points)
Poster D. 15, 22, 40, 69 (2435 points)
Poster E. 14, 23, 41, 68 (2447 points)
Poster F. 13, 24, 42, 67 (2432 points)
Poster G. 12, 25, 43, 66 (2482 points)
Poster H. 11, 26, 44, 65 (2510 points)
Poster I. 10, 27, 45, 64 (2546 points)
Poster J. 9, 28, 46, 63 (2589 points)
Poster K. 8, 29, 47, 62 (2643 points)
Poster L. 7, 30, 48, 61 (2710 points)
Poster M. 6, 31, 49, 60 (2813 points)
Poster N. 5, 32, 50, 59 (2893 points)
Poster O. 4, 33, 51, 58 (3026 points)
Poster P. 3, 34, 52, 57 (3216 points)
Poster Q. 2, 35, 53, 56 (3466 points)
Poster R. 1, 36, 54, 55 (3929 points)
As you can see, according to the points system, it seems to work out well for those with top picks. But with the evenness of this draft I think the top picks are way over valued (eg. 1 = 3000, 8 = 1551).
Which grouping of picks a poster has will be chosen at random once we have 18 members.
Each poster will end up with 4 players and we can look back in the years to come and bicker endlessly about who has the better hands in close.
