I know I started this thread but I completely forgot about it, and call it a shit bump but I want to say that that is a very impressive highlights package. I would have loved him to come to West Coast, he'll be a star. I just watched it then, and have a mancrush.

Also General's posts were obviously tongue in cheek.
 
ive seen that video highlights package 4 or 5 times now and everytime you notice more things that make him look more and more impressive.

im interested to see how his overhead marking and tackling go at afl level.

Murphy has as good if not better a kick than Conca.

Based on a highlight reel?

Conca is recognised as being elite by foot, something never mentioned in the same sentence as Murph. So dont make silly statements due to bias.

Murphy is a gun and may very likely be a better player than Conca ever will, but a better kick he is not.

You should probably watch some more Carlton games if you don't recognise Murphy as elite kick.

It is good you also realise the unreliable nature of the highlight reel, so not every Conca is bullet, as suggested.

Again - I do rate Conca very highly.
 
haha murphy's kicking doesnt look as good as concas, he is a good kick but not quite up there with the best kicks in the comp. not to say conca is either yet, because kicking skills in the afl can look much worse then they really are when pressure is applied and your team mates dont run to the right positions.

i do see a bit of murphy about conca, but murphys a gun and if conca become as good as murphy id be rapid. i think murphy kicks more goals tho
 
Yeh i agree! i love Murphy as a player and would be happy if the club moved hell and high water to get him, so if Conca can turn out as good ill be stoked! I think we will see Conca as more of a Luke Power type as he has that same type of endevour and football smarts about him! thats just my opinion though.
