TBH it’s got the foundations of a very catchy tune, it’s just the production that makes it sound so cheesy.

give it a marching band style rhythm track and some sort of jazz bass instead of the terrible drums it has, and it’ll be way better already

Not blaming them. We obviously played like sh*t. But they were beyond awful. 11-2 in the last was it?

We got called for throws when we were tackled and the ball spilled out. How many times did we go forward just for them to pluck a hold? The front one holding of lycnh when we went forward with 3 mins left.
They called all this tiny holds and then we get tackled and thrown to the ground without it and they don't call it.

AFL is in a sh*t spot. The inconsistency of improving is making it unwatchable.

Sanctioned cheating. Time to call it out. The commentators won't, they know what side their bread is buttered. The coaches can't, $25,000 fine. Part time umpires. The only professional league in the world with semi-pro adjudication. Each year the league of Certified Practicong Accountants put forward their list of AFL umpires. The AFL put on a blindfold and select them from a barrel.

If anything will ever drive me out of the game it's this one thing. The umpiring is criminally bad.

I'd say there's a dozen games in the last few years where we have literally been robbed. Every time we have posession or gain the momentum, a tiggy touchwood free is paid against us. Yet I can't think of a single game where we were kissed and got over the line because of the umpiring.

Whinging about the umpiring ? This year it has reached its nadir. It is so bad it's abysmal. Ask anyone. The main feature of the game now is the shocking umpiring. It's the great indictment on our game. That and the rule changes to bring leaders back to the average pack.

To be fair though. The constant rule changes is an equally bigger blight on the game. Definitely want the Tigers shit gameplan rubbed out for good but every season the successful sides seem to be determined by who can adapt the quickest to the new rules. Which is bullshit given there’s only so much you can change your list and switch up the gameplan in the off-season. Some consistency would be nice.

(Mainly because I think we’ve also been shafted by the new rule, we were never great at defending the corridor and now it’s been amplified. We, like the Tigers, were good at defending the entire ground and forcing long kicks and that’s been taken away by the increased space)
