Re-visit this thread in a few (10?) years when we don't have a strong team, and are struggling to make the 8, let along make GF's, and you will laugh at how silly this sounds :).

Its all the little things, like seeing our players actually drinking at the Brownlow

Would rather be shitting my pants on Saturday then wondering wtf to do at home while I watch it on TV.

This time last year I was checking my credit card balance to see if I had Grand Final tickets. (I did)
This time last year I had mates over to watch Gazza win his Brownlow.
This time last year I was decorating the house in blue and white.
This time last year I was planning a Grand Final Eve party.

This time last year I was going to the Grand Final.

Screw "relaxing" on GF day- it will be very depressing and lonely. :p

I'm watching it with a mate who is a Saints fan and flew over for the GF last year. I am going to get a great kick out of watching him go through about 45 different emotions like I did last year. Apart from that, yes, I wish I was going through those emotions again this year.

to an extent, with the suffering of 05 and joy of 06, as much as i wanted to enjoy more success and premierships at my great club, Grand final day was friggen unreal to relax and not stress about who was winning and losing.

then again, 15 minutes into the first qtr at the carrington when the theme song rang out over the PA, made for somewhat of a quick day.

but great and stress free none the less.

Feel like the luckiest bastard alive being at the last 3 gfs. Shared it with my son,and the memories will live forever.I feel for the Bulldog supporters, and hope the Saints can do it for theirs.Who knows it took us 44 years to win one
