Well, Freo just made things more interesting ... if Melbourne can't beat GWS, they are Gawn (pun intended) from the race, which would leave 9 teams in contention for the 8.

From our perspective, it would be nice if Gold Coast could give Collingwood a torrid time, if Clarko could get the Hawks up for their game against the Doggies, and for the Crows to spring a colossal upset on GWS.

However ... we can't afford to do anything else but try to win two games ... and take them all out of the equation.

Not only do we need to win one of the final two in order to likely make the finals.

If we didn't win either and got lucky with GC beating Collingwood, we'd only sneak into 8th.

Which means we would likely get pumped by the Geelong, Richmond or WC 5th ranked side.

Yes, it now means that if we win on Thursday night and the Bulldogs lose to Hawthorn on Sunday, we mathematically qualify.
According to my calculations there is a 68 % chance of us making it , a 57% chance of us not making it and a 97% chance of my head exploding before the end of the final round.

Your stats are redicolous. It can only add up to 100%. Everyone knows that. I have my head exploding at 9%. Making finals at 69% and not making it at 41%. That clearly adds up to 100% as it has to.

Does anyone really think the ladder predictor is worth doing , after all your saying your picking the winners of 27 games , if you can do that you should be a full time punter
Agree mate, maybe, MAYBE, a week out from the end of season they are useful. This COVID season makes things so unpredictable, so the ladder predictors are even more flaky than normal.

But there were blokes in here over a week ago doing the predictor and definitively calling it that we would’t make it which was quite silly. A few of us said to expect unexpected results and just sit back and enjoy the footy. Sure enough, Melbourne lost a couple and the Dogs won one.

There’ll be plenty more strange results to come, hopefully starting today with GWS Crows.

Very useful after round 18

It's worth doing just so we know what has to happen and what results we should be cheering for. Other than that, you as spot on.

We had people here claiming we won't make finals after Melbourne.

They all knew Melbourne would win the next two games.

Just like we expected Bulldogs to beat WC.

i think we've made finals now regardless of the outcome for us. as long as we don't get belted.

GWS to play Dees on a 4 day break. Dees copping all kinds of heat. so they should come out firing.
Gws will also cop heat and Melbourne had to travel to cairns and play in the wet. And only one day difference. Just beat wce which should be even money and it’s over. And we get a home final.
