Wanted: A football side that once treated fans at Subiaco Oval and at over venues with a brand a fast free flowing skillful play with high scoring and a rock solid defence to compliment a star studded midfield.
This can be found by each player thinking their career is on the line and playing to the best of their abilites recalling and using all the skills taught to them which got them into their position of being a senior footballer in the first place.
In particular:
Worsfold and team should drum what every fan is thinking into the players and try to lift spirits and remind them what this club has achieved and its belief in its list. If a player is getting beat, move him not leave him to humiliate himself, the club and supporters.
McDougall needs a reality check that his approach to the ball is not what is required to play football at this level. Needs time in the WAFL and Johnson or Gaper or both deserve chances.
Green needs to be dropped for Nikoski until he can convince the club he will find consistency.
What I think should happen: Regain Jako, Gasper and Glass, retain Nikoski but have Waters on the bench. Get Wooden in as soon as possible also.
The Western Derby is a May final, lets face it. If we don't win this, we will not have any chance of finishing in the top four.
The club will be under heavy scrutiny believe you, me during the week and must respond in a way they once knew how.
