Soph, your boys have been the best side by far this season and while I know that does not count for much come Grand Final day, if your boys follow the game plan and listen to instructions then you will be fine.

Prediction Swans by 36 - 60 points.

and good luck to your reserve grade ;)

Team named:

B: Tim Wales, Jack Lynch, Blake Guthrie
HB: Campbell Heath, Andrejs Everitt, Lewis Jetta
C: Jackson Potter, Brett Meredith, Nick Malceski
HF: Kane Murphy, Paul Bevan, Nathan Gordon
F: Trent Dennis-Lane, Mike Pyke, James Brain
Foll: Mark Seaby, Dylan McNeil, Jarred Moore

Int (from): Stephen Wray, Nathan Kenny, Andrew Moody, Mitch May, Max Otten, Eugene Kruger, Mitch Crawford

In: Nick Malceski, Paul Bevan, Eugene Kruger, Lewis Jetta, Max Otten, James Brain
Out: Jed Lamb, Lewis Roberts-Thomson

Is McKaigue injured or has he missed the squad because of the restrictions? I would have played him in front of Otten and/or Kruger. Lamb out is a huge blow, he's been sparkling in the midfield since his return from injury.

I wonder if the seniors get knocked out tonight, whether they might pull the plug on Everitt and Jetta's seasons given they would probably (I think) not be eligible for the conference grand final the following week.

Oh no doubt, they've flown emergencies from Perth back to Canberra before so this is a logistical breeze in comparison. I was just wondering if the seniors get knocked out whether some of the more senior players (e.g. Malceski) might switch to Mad Monday mode. Similar thing happen in 08 when Ben Mathews didn't play in the Canberra GF after the seniors got knocked out by the Dogs.

Thats the game you won with a bunch on no names against Belconnen was n't it?

If so I remember seeing the team sheets while I was preparing to call the game and thought it was a GF that was Belconnen's to lose.

I recall Belconnen got out to an lead during the third term and came across to me like they thought the game was already won dur to the lack of names in your team and your boys just kept at it and at it and thankfully they won on the last kick of the game.

ARGHH BEST GAME EVER!

I do hope we have the same ending tomorrow but by a lot more

the thing thats kept me happy is the same use of top ups throughout the year everyone should be settled

I just recall a lot of top ups and this was when you were allowed 15 listed players on the field from memory.

Only 12 in the finals. (13 this year)

Wasn't Vespremi the one who kicked the point after the siren?

Nope, Matt Beckmans as Soph will gladly tell you about this winning point.

Last point he ever kicked, wasn't it?
Yeah he went to Port Magpies in the SANFL in the following year but was stuck at their reserves level. I have no idea where he is now.
