Morton kicking 10 goals is fine and all but if he's doing it while still playing lazy football and lairsing about when the side is 100+ points up, then I'm entitled not to like him. The last bag he kicked was against Tuggeranong, another bottom side, so at the moment he seems like a downhill skier to me. Easy to show off when you're well on top, but when the side is losing and needs a experienced body to stand up and take charge, he's nowhere to be seen.

Well next week is the perfect chance for Morton against Brisbane Reserves ?? to stand up. It's up to him now whether he will be lazy against several AFL players or downhill ski...hoping he does stand up and provide a bigger body at contests

That I can accept. Not a problem with that however he did kick 4 goals last week in Darwin when the game was alot tougher and the opposition was stronger.

Mortons in good form, he's on his last chance in AFL one would have thought. Give him a go in the seniors and see if he's up to it, thats what I'd do if I were Longmire.

Two/three more weeks of good form will get him in for possibly everitt. Has to earn his stripes which he is doing. It is also difficult to get into the seniors now due to the quality of footy the boys are producing.

He'll get a run just a question of when

Not a disgrace, you don't have to like every player from the team you support.

Are you related to the Morton's? You seem to post a lot about Cale as well.

Personally I think it was grim's shot at Morton's beard that upset him.
You know what these hillbillies in Abbottsarmy are like.

PS Thanks for the report again grim.
TBH wouldn't mind if Lamb pulled his finger out and started getting some of Morton's 'cheapies'.

I reckon you're being a bit rough. Granted, his 10 weren't as good as Gordon's, but he still took some fantastic contested marks, led strongly and cleverly all day, and best of all, kicked straight. He even had a run in the midfield in patches and was effective.

Clearly our 2nd best behind Gordon IMO.

I like morton hes growing on me...Grim u know u like him too
Oh no not you too.

He wears Currie's old number! Next thing you'll be telling me how wonderful Meredith is and how unlucky Jarred Moore's been.

I knew we shouldn't have gone down to the huddle at 3/4 time.

On Morton, yes I'll admit I was being harsh on him but I just can't see him fitting into the side. He will be lazy and not chase and will probably do something silly like play on after marking 20m in front and messing it up (just ask Terry Wallace).

At the very least, TDL deserves the first bite at the cherry before MM. He's worked hard on his tackling and like Jetta it's starting to show. I'm sure he would have kicked close to 10 had he played today as well.

It's going to be a tough game, they have 21 listed players against our 17 (almost certainly reduced to 16 at the most due to travelling emergencies going to Melbourne).
