Returning players...

After watching some of the great form from our younger players this year, youd have to think theres a major dilemma facing the selectors in the future. Which players coming back from injury would be able to force their way into the team if no injuries to the current 22 occured? If any are to force their way back in, who gives way for them?

Its a great situation to be in, where we've scrapped the bottom in terms of our lists depth, yet we're still playing very good football, and the players who have come in have performed.

I can't think of any of the missing players who will walk straight back into the 22 except Shirley, Stiffy and possibly Bode. I think Roo, K-Mac, Meese, Maric, Massie and the untried players will all need game or two in the SANFL before they come back in.

But, even given some games in the SANFL, how many of those do you feel would force their way back into the AFL team? A fit Roo being given a spot is a given, probably for Vince at the moment. Who else?

Well obviously Maric and Meesen come in for Hudson and Griffin depending on the form of the four.

K-Mac For Douglas maybe? This allows Mattner to play further up the ground and Kenny can go forward or back.

As good as he was last year i'm not sure if Massie comes back unless someone is in bad form or Massie is demanding to be picked.

Roo for Bernie or Welshy

I certainly wouldn't want to be on the selection panel over the next month and a half!

nope still dont like him, everyone has 1 player they just dont like.
most peoples is ian perrie, mine is doughty

You don't have to like him, but you can acknowledge when he's playing well.

I have no idea to be honest.

Knights can't be dropped.

I guess Douglas will go for Shirley. But then again, what bout Stiffy.

Porplysia may go for Roo, or it might be Welsh if he's too hot/cold.

Kenny I think has to be challenging for spot of either Perrie or Stevens, based on form.

To be honest, Roo is obviously a walk up start straight back into the team. Johncock is too.

Shirley, Bode & McGregor I think will be dependent upon the performance of the incumbents - they'll have to earn their spot back.

We might have to do some serious trading this year; I don't think Massie will get his spot back based on Mattner & Stevens form.

Meeson & Maric; with Griff's form, I don't know if we have room for all of them and Biglands on the list.

It's a hell of a position to be in, considering where we were two years ago - but we have a lot of players who deserve to be playing AFL Football, ideally for us, but not everyone can fit in our best 22.

Can someone tell me where Sellar is at and if he's likely to crack it for a game this year. I know he's only young but looks to be a decent size and played some good footy last year. I know the team is flying and the list is pretty strong but is he a chance?

I wouldn't dream team him.
Done his groin, another 3 weeks and it's unlikely he'll play much this year. Only turned 18 a few days ago.
