His kicking was a direct result for three goals kicked against us in the Essendon game. His form on the wing this year has been amazing, hopefully he stays,
No his kicking if fine, he is one of the best kicks at our club. Why did he turn the ball over? Because he made the wrong decision, there was two times in a row during that Essendon game that he was on his right side under pressure and he tried to hit an attacking kick even the he had a player about 20 meters up the line all on his own boundary side. With greater experience he will make the right decision

Conor McKenna is a weapon of half back with his dash and unique kicking style which allows him to hit angles other players simply can't.

Harris Andrews 61...14 a very big bargain. Close to the best chb running around as stated by his peers. I would have him as high as 3 or 4. Much more valuable than a common midfielder.

Pretty happy with our draft really.

Petracca looks like being a star, ditto Brayshaw.
Stretch played almost every game last year and looks like a 150 game player. Oscar mcDonald looks like our CHB for the next 10 years.
Vandenberg in the rookie list looks like a 100 game player and even Alex neal-Bullen if he can transfer his VFL form into AFL form could be really good.
Harris Andrews at 61 was a bargain and I think Oscar shows plenty as well..draft tomorrow Harris would be top 5.

agree he is miles ahead of degoey moore an alike.. I'm guessing the knock on him was his ball winning skills.but he has added that to his game this year. top pick.
he an miller were great pick ups and are under rated atm

Do you know why he fell so low? KPD generally take a bit of time, but he seemed to come in straight away and make a genuine impact.

You forgot Maynard as well

Interesting that Moore is now 204 cm after having another growth spurt this year. Him playing a daniher role, and splitting time between half forward and ruck is even more likely at this stage.

Probably means that we won't consider Hayes or Coleman Jones with our first pick this year.

Finally we get to see Laverde this year, I can't wait to see how he goes against North this week.

Blakeley had another great game, his 4th game playing HBF, can't be bothered rattling off stats.
His ability to dodge and weave through traffic is a joy to watch, one of the only players to smile about after another grim day.
Just about our most consistent player this year, could genuinely win the Doig.

Neal-Bullen climbing. Getting more time at the contest, and has cleaned up his F50 entries. Stoked with this draft, desperate for Brayshaw to stay healthy.

Very similar to Callan Ward. Tough clearance winner, can step through traffic, and uses the ball neatly. Rate him.

Dan Howe is developing into a very good inside midfielder at 191 cm.

To think I thought he would become a handy intercept marking wing/HB after his debut.

Looks to have put on a fair bit of weight and knows how to use it

De Goey and Bont are the closest things to Nathan Fyfe/Dustin Martin/Patrick Dangerfield

Really, De Goey? This is the first excellent game he's had all year and now he's the closest thing to Fyfe/Martin/Dangerfield?

Okay.
People have said this about him for a few games this year... The exact same comment really.

His last month has been outstanding for the most part, today certainly wasn't his first excellent game.

No, his last month has been outstanding only for his age group, not outstanding in general. He's definitely a talented young player with a bright future but he doesn't deserve a mention in the same sentence as the game's three best midfielders. Making those comparisons is just divisive and dumb.

Stop shifting the goal posts. First you say that this was his first excellent game, then when that gets called out as horse shit you come up with some rubbish about his month only being good for his age group (which this thread is about incidentally ffs).

People are allowed to make comparisons. They do it for draftees all the time and they do it for young players all the time. Nobody is saying that JDG has reached those heights yet, they're just projecting the type of player they think he could become. Get a grip.

Closest thing to Fyfe/Martin/Dangerfield in terms of play style, in the sense that they're all genuine midfielders with significant scoring impact.

Relax.
