Was at this game and Richo was unstoppable and i think he took a league record marks? someone will know or correct me.

watched last night's game, or the first qtr at least. that war movie went on forever. just needed my fix of quality footy. ripping intensity. how was hulme getting carted in the opening seconds by andrew kellaway? circa 2009, that's probs a 4-wk suspension. ditto ray hall's front-on bump in the same quarter.

also mark porter's absolute desperation to grab the ball out of the pack vs hall in the olympic stand pocket and dish it off to lappin. that is what football is all about.

how good did the mcg look? that is how it should always be, particularly in september. the old ponsford, mcc and olympic stands were so quality. no roof, no worries. now, the ground is in shade from 2pm onwards and looks mucked up.

miss all of those players. grew up watching and idolising them. random names to many, but guys like scott freeborn, rory hilton, jimmy plunkett - i love 'em. credit also to richo for a terrific opening term.
