Richmond List Changes

Happy with the list changes, saw Derickx in the NAB and thought he was the next big ruck, injury does bad things to some players - ruined Edwards for the best part of twelve months, and as for Griffiths don't think we've seen the best of him yet - though one 60 meter punt this year was sheer brilliance. Still waiting to see Vickery do consistently good things, and we need cover for that role, so think McGuane should stay. His goal kicking is a tad woeful, but marking ability is up there with the best. Need cover for eeevan too, so happy to keep Graham until we've got a second fiddle who's consistently good. Don't need Browne as a ruck, the games he played last year were not memorable, in fact I think we lost most of them.
My only concern is that we get rid of these "bad" boys like Krakouer, and a few years down the track they come back as stars somewhere else. Would like to rookie Connors, as I reckon once he gets over his attitude and gets his act together he will be a top gun.

Kind of hard to keep a hold of somebody when they get put in jail, hardly the clubs fault.

He has already proven to be a problem child for 5 years & started to influence martin in the same way.

Conners will never happen while Dimma is around the club, he's had too many chances already. even to the point of playing with Coburg for a year and working so hard to get back for the GWS game which was his 1st this year, then 2 weeks later undoes it all with a simple lack of discipline, showing he's a complete idiot. i'd settle for a rookie wage to play AFL, i'd even lock myself inside my house for the duration of my career to ensure nothing beyond my control ruined it!

Yeah of all the players we delisted, he had talent even if he is a total jerk at present. But the problem is Richmond puts money into talented players like Krakoeur, they do the crime and the time and then learn the error of their ways and then the reward of our money and time invested has gone to Collingwood, without one ounce of compensation for the time and effort we put in to developing them. We wouldn't be thinking at all about Cloke if there had been some kind of preference rule for when players like Krakouer return to the AFL. Yeah he's a total idiot at present, but think (hope) Connors will be over it in three years time and then would like to think we somehow get first dibs. He was one of the bog at I think the second game he played this season, which was a great effort.

If someone knows how much an AFL player costs to train in a year - I reckon taking all the coaches salaries, equipment, overseas training/special training - it would have to be at least $500k for a base player.

Sorry reevolt, but there's no point complaining of those who we invested in, just wish them well... On th flip side we've got players on our list who've had other clubs invest in them. Big Ivan, bachar, griggy all have been good for us this year
