Riewoldt or Hayes?

There was some excellent discussion in another thread on who should be our next captain and why.

Let's put it to a vote.

The good thing about it is that I don't think many of us would be too upset if our preferred candidate doesn't get the nod because both are outstanding candidates.

Riewoldt without a doubt imo.

Can do it on and off the field...as can Lenny but imo Nick really can put himself out there and I think Lenny would struggle doing that.

I'd like Lenny to be captain, but I think Roo will get it; he's the "marquee" player of the club. Lenny has a nice little bit of mongrel in him that Roo lacks IMO and I like that in a captain - example "A" being Sammy Hamill.

Roo should be captain IMO. He's our best player, our most media-friendly player and probably most consistent player. He also has age on his side - Roo could be our captain for the next 6 years, whereas Lenny would have a maximum of 3, possibly 4.

Lenny for vice captain.

from a non-saints supporter i'd have to say hayes by a mile. hes a real leader on the field and does the dirty work and is also a class player. while riewoldt is a gun player im not sure about his leadership qualities.

Riewoldt. I would be happy with Hayes though. I just hope we have one captain and stick with that. I never liked the rotating captains each year or having multiple captains.

I've reopened this poll and will leave it open until the club officially make their decision.

I didn't specify it in the opening post but it would be appreciated if we could have only our supporters vote in this poll because we're trying to get an indication as to who our own supporters want as captain. All opposition supporters are more than welcome to post in the thread expressing their opinion though.

I'd say Lenny. He looks like a leader, he is tough, disciplined and well respected around the league and when fit he is your best player along with Kosi and Riewoldt.
