1/3 of the greatest dismissal on paper in history (Lillee ct Willey b Dilley) strange bowling action, butchered us at Headingley in 81 and all round good bloke.
Gone too soon.

It is amazing that somebody that was as big and strong as him is gone as young as that. Cancer is a prick of a thing !!!

He played a huge part in my favourite test match of all time.

RIP.

RIP to a great fast bowler cut down by knee injuries.

He had a great fluent slinger action that was deadly when on target. Used to tear teams apart - incl the great WI lineups in the mid 80's.

Sad day.

Just finished reading the book 500 to 1- Dilley will always be remembered for his role in that game- right behind Botham and Willis.
