Fought on for so much longer than you could have ever expected, but it still hurts just as much all the same.

Rest easy, Rev. From your iconic celebrations and wicked sense of humour, to the indelible mark you've made on our footy club, to the incredibly brave, selfless and inspiring work you've done with FightMND – you'll be missed dearly.

A hero in so many ways.

So glad he got to experience that flag before the beast fully took him. That's one happy fella

Pisses me off that we never put on a good enough show for him on Queens/Kings Birthday, wish he got to see us one more time this year.

Rest well legend.

Thoughts are with your clan tonight on the passing of Neale, aka The Reverend, aka a Bloody absolute legend. There are very few AFL players that all supporters revere and Neale is at the top of that list with his AFL career and then his dogged determination to find a cure for MND.

Look after yourselves and your supporter base. May you celebrate a fantastic life with a thumping win over Collingwood at the G together in two weeks.

RIP Reverend and thoughts to the entire Daniher clan.

Such sad day 😢

A genuine Australian icon with a heart of gold and a fighting spirit like no other.

The impact he made in raising awareness and support for those living with MND will continue to change lives for years to come.

Rest easy, legend.

Your legacy will live on forever.

Club should be rolling out the flamehead logo for at least the rest of the season in tribute. Preferably, bring it back permanently
Initially I thought you meant kit. I actually think the red flame head kit should be rolled out kings birthday 🎂

Neale’s humility and kindness is what we will remember, his fight for a greater cause to the very end.

Life takes the good ones young, and Neale’s struggle in his fight raising awareness for all who suffer was a lesson to us all in humility and humbleness

RIP Neale.

Even though you knew it was coming it’s still a gut punch.

Never met him but a series of weird connections to him - through family, friends, MND. From having footy chats while he was coach of the Dees on the sideline of his daughter’s basketball games to doing all he can for beating the Beast.

Legend doesn’t do it justice, but the role model we all should aspire to just might.

Don't think I've ever heard a bad word about Neale Daniher.

Amazing legacy.
Yeah. His coaching period was a roller coaster but I think we all wanted the happy ending for him because he seemed such genuine person. That win against the Dogs in 05 was awesome seeing him completely nuffy out.

Neale, is one of those people that transcended the game and become something bigger.

Whether you knew him or not it feels like he would be your mate forever and the fight he showed both on and off the field is something to truly be admired.

Every year I buy my beanie to support his cause and those affected by it.

Rip Neale.

Neale gave me the most enjoyable period I’ve ever had watching the Dees. 98 and 2000 were probably the two most enjoyable years of football I’ve had.

Heard Bec Daniher on the rush hour a few weeks ago and she made it sound like things had taken a turn, she was also a few months preggers as well which is a bloody shame for them he couldn't quite make it a little longer

From everything I heard of him was an absolute superstar player cut down before his prime by knee injuries, seemed to be the story of the rev and his life

I'd be surprised if there's ever been a more popular non flag winning coach in history and that goes without exaggeration.

Funny too some of me best memories ofL him were him on before the game and the footy Show, bloke was sitting there with half a stiffy he was so happy to be doing media and everyone was captivated by his personality.

Rip the rev, thanks for the memories
