Last week was a “Professional Win” though.
Last week was just a win in a season without many. Not a professional win, not anything worth concluding very much from; just a win. And if we win today, it would be very much the same thing.

Because right now, the effort's simply not there. There will either be a response or there won't be. If we win, it's not papering over shit; we still surrendered 7ish goals in a row to Nth.

I don't know why so, so many Carlton fans are so enthused by the notion of kicking around other Carlton fans - not the club, not the players, not the coach; us, the supporters who can do nothing but watch - over how they choose to see the game.

Got another membership call during the week. Wanted to keep my several decades long streak going. I told him I know I have until the end of July. I said I'm waiting to see what is coming. He offered a discount. No thanks, I'm waiting ...

Our list is overrated. We're not going anywhere with this group I'm afraid.

Yes, our list isn’t near as good as we thought.

BUT it’s not this bad. It’s not bad enough to be fighting to scrape into the 8 and dropping games to bottom 4 teams.

It’s going far deeper than a poor list. Ugly times.

Players have checked out on Voss.

They are actually jogging and not chasing, not putting in tackling effort, heads down and body language woeful. When you see the body language of guys like Cripps, Weiters, Saad etc.. you know it's over. Seen this all before.

The Voss era is over and I'd say quite a few players will be shown the door too.

Ok.
But give our team to a top coach and lwt's find out.

Not sure if I shpuld go home at half time or wait for ourgood quarter?

Guess I'll wait.
Drink plenty of Guinness if you're going to stay MBR.

The most important role of a professional sports head coach is to motivate your players.

Those expecting the coach to teach basic skills are off the mark. The overwhelming majority of that is and should be done before a player ever steps foot on an AFL field. Training and practice is to keep those skills sharp while advancing the more advanced, team-driven, aspects of the game (system and structure).

Our players are not motivated. We are not driven. Half of the goals that quarter came through a complete lack of effort. Players standing around being witches hats. Players being beaten to the ball not through lack of speed but through effort and energy.

That you can put on the players and the coach. The players are killing another coach.
