Don't think Ainsworth would be dropped after that, was great today IMO.

Barrass is ready from the sounds of it, and on radio they mentioned JD wanted to play today, big chance for next week.

In: Barrass, Darling
Out: Allen (unlucky), Vardy

Its hard to know on Barrass, but it would be a big call to bring him back in a big away game.
Is he best 22 when fit? If so, it's not a hard call. Just pick the best available side. The fact it's a "big away game" doesn't change that.

Happy to have a debate about Sheed in for either Venables or Ainsworth. But Venables looks unfit and hesitant where as Ainsworth looks fit and goes hard. You can't just leave in a guy because of team balance if he's not up to the pace yet. On the other hand, you could drop both Ainsworth and Venables for Sheed and Ryan/Le Cras. That sounds reasonable. Match committee backing in Ainsworth over Sheed two weeks in a row will hopefully deliver a strong message to Dom.

Ffs get sheed he got punished enough!!!!! He got 30 Possesion in wafl last week get him in over Ainsworth or ahchee we need him in!!!
It's true. There were too many passengers to keep leaving Sheed out.

Of course he is best 22. But should they risk bringing in another potentially underdone player when Schofield is playing well and Collingwood arent exactly brimming with tall forwards? Further, I haven't seen many signs of Barrass on the training track the last month.

Can't bring back Darling Kennedy and Barrass straight away. Have to get some match fitness in WAFL
Nah, have you seen our fwd line??? Don’t be clouded by our win we had a hard time scoring...

Remember when darling was out we lost 2 straight. We need both

Screw that. Media reax counts for zero. If they're fit, they play.
The media reaction is secondary to concerns around them lacking touch after such long breaks.

Also the media reaction I’m worried about assumes that an underdone Jack Darling plays a 2017 standard game on the big stage as opposed to the beast mode he was in this year before getting injured.

Please don't get rid of Venables for Sheed.

If Sheed comes in it has to be Hutchings to go out, who I think deserves to stay in this team.

Ainsoworth's efforts are better than Sheed's on the spread both offensively and defensively. I think he's better in traffic than Sheed, has better vision and a better handball.

Sheed is the superior kick in space by quite a margin, but he hasn't been able to get it in space very well this season so that's always a concern. Ainsworth effectively played 3 quarters today and had a decent game.

Darling, Kennedy, Barrass, Sheed..
(just need these in against the pies, not sure if all available)
As much as i want Ahchee to perform, not convinced of his worth yet re tank and tackles.

This is true, but Venables is the only one who stands out as being not match fit. I've also called for Ah Chee to be dropped and Vardy will make way if Kennedy or Darling come back. If both come back then Allen will also miss out. Its hard to know on Barrass, but it would be a big call to bring him back in a big away game. Apart from Cox, do they have a lot of tall forwards? Schofield would be stiff as he played another solid game today.
Think we are going around in circles a bit lol.

Yep agree re DV shouldn't have been selected and should get cut.
Disagree on him getting the blame if we lost (we had a few others)
Disagree on replacing him with any other player than a forward.

Barrass will find it a tad tough but he has been in the side for a bit and we need him to get match fit asap.
Barrass is better suited to taking Cox as Schoey lacks strength and is average above his head.

Yep they don't have any other genuine talls other than Mihocek (192cm) who Gov might take.

Of course Venables wouldn't be solely to blame if we had of lost. But his erroneous selection would have been a significant contributing factor and probably drawn a lot more fire.

Agreed on Ainsworth. Who would you replace Venables with if he was dropped?

Think if Sheed comes, he plays more in the guts. Would free up Shuey/Yeo to play a tad more outside and Gaff to play mostly outside. Think on the G against the Pies thats not a bad thing.

Need to go all out next week against the pies, JK and JD to come in for Vardy and Ahchee to give some solid forward structure, Ryan and Barrass a week in the twos. Gov moves back along side Schofield and Ollen moves forward into Watermans role. Venables stays because we need pace against the pies. Also don’t get the calls for Sheed to come in, our midfielders were outstanding today so no change required there, the ruck dual between Nic Nat and Grundy will be epic next week.

And vice versa, Sheed has also played a bit of half forward and seems to be able to find goal side space. Just needs to nail his shots to become more damaging.

If he's fit, he plays, particularly if we are still throwing McGovern forward.

How about we just pick our best available side and forget everything else?

Why would you replace a fit and in form Schoey with Barrass whose been out for weeks? No way. The only walk up is Kennedy, perhaps Darling as we have no replacements in the forwardline. Barrass to come back through the WAFL thanks very much.

Totally agree, must give Barrass a game in the WAFL to get going first.

Pies have a small / medium forward line so no need to rush in Barrass.

Id rather see OAllen stay in and Ah chee out even if it means playing Allen forward.

That goes without saying but only want them selected if they’re both absolutely 100% recovered from their injuries, cherry ripe and ready to go. Not 90% fit and getting up for a team that is desperate to fill KPF posts.

Our top tier were fantastic but from that point onwards it was average. Hutch was shut his man down. Ainsworth was decent in patches, Masten was down and the rest that ran through didn't have an impact.

With Grundy rucking against NN and their midfield, our first tier mids won't get the same service next week and they wouldn't get the same freedom. Sheed comes into strengthen the midfield a bit more.

Out: Vardy Allen
In: Kennedy Darling

Hurn Schofield Cole
Jetta McGovern Sheppard
Gaff Redden Masten
Venables Darling AhChee
Rioli Kennedy Cripps

Ruck: Natanui Yeo Shuey
Int: Lycett Hutchings Duggan Ainsworth
