Don't forget, we have been reviewing the fitness/medical area for over a month. Appointed a new head of football and have started changing the coaching staff. A lot is being done. A much better and improving reserves side will help enormously. SOS has been chasing possible recruits for 12 months. We will also appoint Cripps as Captain, a true leader who IMO opinion will be our best leader since Sticks. The younger players love him. Docherty is excellent support.

There is a lot happening that people don't see.

I seem to remember the club banging on about a ‘66 game rebuild’. Well those 66 games have now passed and we are in a far worse position than when we started.

Don't buy that at all. If you don't have the players that are physically capable of producing, the structure and set ups are irrelevant. I find it impossible to judge at the moment. When they have a fit and cohesive list then I believe judgements can be made.

And I disagree with you Soapy. There's nothing physical about a coach playing more than a 2 man forward line. There's nothing physical by telling each and every player to stick with a man. I watched 10 minutes of the 2nd qtr between dinner courses and the repetitive nature of centre bounce, Cripps clears it to.........one of their 4 spare defenders who then basically walk it down the ground for another shot on goal. It's pathetic and has nothing to do with how fit or cohesive we are. These guys are playing AFL footy for pete's sake. Enough excuses. Brisbane can do it - with the same type of list as us. Don't see them getting blown away (apart from that one game against the Tigers. I'm a loyal 45 yr supporter and will be there Round 1 next year as always. But if we don't completely clear out our coaching staff and get someone on top of Bolton to stop him wavering every 2-3 weeks, we MIGHT be ok.

It's not easy following the worst team seen at the level in decades. Worst club performance in 117 years, etc.

If we can survive this we can survive anything, so stay strong, stay frosty - the upswing should start in 2019.

The team was flooding. Ask yourself why, and the answer will lead you back to Soapy's reasons. Give us Brisbane's injury record for next year and it will be all smiles.

The question is gvien we had more number in the midfield (playing 2 extra wings) why couldn't we stop them "walking it down the field"
